Frederick Middleton "Penny" Bailey colorized. Some of these players from the olden days are difficult. There is sometimes no "goldilocks" image- i.e no clearly defined image of the player in the desired uniform. Here I have Bailey in three looks. The first is with the Hartford Senators minor league club, a few years after Bailey's MLB career was over. The second is a very grainy newspaper shot with the Boston Braves that was shared by tnfoto. The last is a college yearbook type image that was shared by Dto7.

Fred Joseph Tauby colorized with the Chicago White Sox and the Philadelphia Phillies. This may conclude the "Fred" section of colorizations. Well, until some better images are found anyway.

Lester Alfred "Red" Lanning colorized in an image with his college ballclub Wesleyan University that was shared by Cusick and a posed portrait out of uniform shared by Cinemaodyssey. The usual dilemma for photos, "Do I use the one in uniform or the higher resolution portrait sans uniform?" Make your own decision. Or go to the dark side and use the "Frankenstein" image with the good face and the uniform body?
