I use the BBref main ID since the ML one is incorrect in the game... the FG certainly need more works.

Down to just 16 in my game now. The other 13 went into my fg_files folder, which will be up on my Google Drive soon.

Can somebody make sure that these 13 make it into the CUF Pack? Otherwise, I'll keep overwriting when I go to update my folder.

FancySkunk administers the CUF pack. I realize he hasn't been on since June but hopefully he finds a way to add all the ones posted (and not posted but in supplemental packs) so as to update the CUF pack at some point. For example, I do about 250 new/improved ones a month, but they mostly go direct into my supplemental pack available via my signature link since he isn't around anymore. If he's not back by the preseason, we can talk about what to do with CUF pack maintenance and administration, but he was off and on-again last year too. So, there is still time for him to return. No one is gone until they're gone...

I may just sail with my own compilation of everybody else's hard work, and any updates since the last one for your pack. The .zip file in my sig consists of the huge original pack, and the update for it, and then yours was loaded in last (November 6th I think?). Just gonna scoop up what's in this thread, yours, and AESP_pres', since November 6th, and upload it to the Google Drive collection. The original CUF Pack is probably a bit bloated with Bickersons still, and I don't want to keep going back to those guys, again, now that AESP cut the ones, that I know of, basically in half.

If you check my thread usually I say it when there is no FG for a player... I say fake 300b file or no real FG (those are the face we have learned to hate).

Yeah, I've noticed the 300 bytes files are better than Bickerson, but can be a bit unstable, and get a bit shifty, like the false FaceGens. Not sure which of the two is better, but there are still quite a few of the 300 byte ones.

It's an immense project, really. It's amazing that we have anything at all, given how huge it is. The efforts been there, for what feels like a decade now. It's a bit of a long haul, but we're getting there, gradually.

LansdowneSt would give a better explanation about those 300b files but from what I understand they aren't real and just random. It's FaceGen Modeller idea of a face based on very blurry and bad pictures based on where the points where placed at the FG creation... strangely it took its inspiration from the previous FG created before it.

So it isn't a real FG version of the player just something that could be if it was the previous FG done...

It happens too when you use the old smoothing slider too much since it erase all the details.

Slowly but surely I advance... everything until 1956 is in my FG folder, everything I had a picture to work with obviously. Not 100% perfect and some are just adjustment from what is in the facepack but I really hope to have everything done for the launch of OOTP24.

And my files all have the correct id... I think I have only one with the old system since the game use neither the correct BBref id or the correct minor league id for the player.

There is an example of this in my thread...

First I did Bill Dugan and next Ed Dugan... Ed is a 300b file and his almost identical to Bill, obviously he shouldn't be. It's because I removed all the details little by little smoothing the FG.

And this is LansdowneSt's result for Ed Dugan... amazing isn't it?
