Bad GR, Good Stats
Steve Smith - 38GP: 12G, 14A, 26PTS, +21, 20:43 ATOI
Looks pretty good, my team is pretty average so he's not leeching off Coffey and Gretzky or anything like that... but his GR is 52, OGR 49, DGR 55, about what you'd expect from some 1 star injury call up. I'm not sure if its a flaw in the rating system or if there's some logical way to explain it. For now I'll try to ignore his GR and keep him in over Rick Lanz who rates a 60 despite being a minus player almost every game.. Any advice on how to weigh and value this stuff is welcome! |

Strange how is performance ratings are so low and contrasting to how he is contributing.
Perhaps the game sees him as being highly efficient in your tactical settings as opposed to him taking control of games himself? Hopefully the devs will see this and can offer some insight. It might be worth you uploading your save so they can take a look into it. |

Good idea, I made a separate save at this point in case they want it. I did notice one 'off-set' in his stats, he's got a PDO of 105.9, so his basic stats are somewhat lucky. |

I think the game rating is weighted towards a player's assigned role.
