Here’s a few of mine:
Strategy settings for BP usage - ability to designate a RP to come into a clean Inning or start an inning. No runners on, vs high leverage with a great Runners allowed to score percentage. This would be great to have for a RP with a poor Hold rating and making sure he doesn’t come in with runners on Since we’re in strategy settings, maybe set innings to go as an alternative option to pitches or batters faced. On hitters strategy settings, a “designated pinch hitter / designated pinch runner” for a player. Like if I have a slow batter, bad glove guy get on in the bottom of the 7th inning, designating a specific PR’er for the guy since my settings for D replacements is set to take place for the top of the 8th. Commish ability to globally set/change game times to all kick off at the same time. This would be GREAT for online leagues that RTS games for their leagues. I believe someone mempntioned this earlier, but coaching to specifically teach new pitches, new positions/improved positions much like the coaching staff tasks for fielding, baserunning. Roger Craig with the Astros and Giants taught the scuffed….um sorry, splitter to his staff’s. This would improve or maybe teach new pitches to players. The con to this would be more pitchers learning new pitches, but that could be tempered with existing pitches losing some skill based on someone’s area of expertise changing. This can be scaled to teach younger players “easier” than older players or even vice versa. Exit Velocity stats for hitters and pitchers. This would be a stat That is already in the game log, but having it as a sortable Stats could be an excellent tool to tap into to see if a guys 320 BAVG but having an avg of 70.3 MPH EVO could say that he got a little lucky. Same for a pitcher w/EVO of 92 and a babip of 260 [can you say lucky). Last edited by kq76; 11-16-2022 at 02:31 AM. Reason: fixed an, I'm sure, accidental derogatory word |

Oh, I had mentioned this in another thread recently and am reminded of it by something in GTAltman's comment:
We live in the world of actual data. Can we have (or have an option for) the "Strategy Setting" options based on just actual Win Probability instead of having to try and archaically construct a vague approximation of WP through combination of inning and score? edit- Quote:

Maybe a super basic request- I could go for an easier way to reorganize my scout task list. Rather then individually click move up and move down, I wish it let us enter the number for scout priority.

An offseason mode.
We're pretty close with the livestart system, but a snapshot taken on Day One of FA would do it.

I would also really like more descriptive settings. Low neutral , etc. Aren't really cutting it. How bout when ya hover over pitcher stamina it says something like (120 pitches) or hook ( 7 ip/g). Be a lot easier to dial in settings for a league without testing 400 years to get what ya want.

Also maybe more details on how coaches work. At least a description of what weight each job uses for each rating. Also how it is used when your GM/manager or just GM.

Historical. Stadium. Capacities.
Dynamic. Fictional. Stadium. Capacities. I hate having to manually add seats because a stadium that opened in 1905 still only has 5800 seats in 1973.

I’d like to see a “short cut” in stadium graphics, that changes the physical appearance of the fences, when I adjust the distances. (I realize I could go in an try to edit the stadium graphics to mimic the new distances; but that is hard, and I am not good at it. Why not a stadium graphic that absorbs the new fence distances, and reproduces them? As an example, in my 1938 sim I changed the RF dimensions as Baker Bowl to eliminate the short fence, pushing the wall out thirty feet. Now when I play in 3D using the otherwise awesome Baker Bowl graphic, the right fielder disappears behind the [old] fence. The results are good. I’m getting fewer cheap doubles and homers. But the graphics don’t adjust to the new dimensions. For those of use challenged in the use of the 3D construction tool, and “automatic” adjustment would be cool.

The news/email system has remained constant throughout the years, while the rest of the game has seen incredible development and evolution.
Now as it stands, the news/email feels like an after-thought - and really, the only thing the news seems to keep track of with consistency, during the season, are hitting streaks and trades. Even major injuries around the league often times go unreported. News and email DEFINITELY need attention. |

One thing I would love to see in future versions is an ability to assign spring training goals for players.
Essentially, a way that I can tell my manager to train my utility infielder at a couple positions, instead of having to manage each daily lineup and his specific playing time. Or to tell my pitching coach to to focus on a pitcher that needs work on his control, or perhaps even learning a new pitch. That sort of thing. The new pitch aspect is a stretch, I know, but I think in general the ability to give offseason and spring training "goals" to players or coaches would be a great value add. This could be something added to the Player Strategy page, where we can assign a position to train at, or a skill to work on (like their range, or base stealing, or contact ability). |

Other than a player management feature like I stated above, another thing I would truly love to see is the ability to uncouple the minor league affiliations.
What I mean from this, is I'd love to see a way where I can create a group of minor leagues, into an association, and have that association be affiliated with an association of major leagues. For example, if I were to create 4 major leagues with 10 teams each: Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Western, currently each of them would have their own set of minor leagues affiliated with the 10 teams in that major league. Instead I'd love to be able to create 2 AAA leagues each with 20 teams. Or 5 A+ leagues each with 8 teams. If there were a way to uncouple the minors and majors, so that the minors no longer show up in the hierarchy under their associated major league, it would help a ton with Promotion/Relegation formats. Currently when a team is promoted from one tier to the next, we need to manually move their minor league affiliates up to the next tier's affiliated leagues, but I'd love to have a AAA, AA, A+, etc that doesn't need this constant updating when promotion and relegation happens. |

Couple things for me
1. More detailed ratings.for picthers instead of just movement and control things like Pitch Tunneling and Spin Rates. For hitters instead of just contact and gap/HR power have things like Raw power and Game Power, Barrel Rate, Line Drive Percentage. For Outfielders something like Route Running. For Catchers have framing, game calling. And on the stat side OAA and DRS for defensive stats. 2. Minor League portion of the Rule V Draft 3. Accurate minor league rules. For Example in the Complex Leagues no team can have more than three players with four or more years of minor-league experience. Also make it to where players on rehab assignments don't count against the active player limit and also allow an option to have a taxi squad 4. Update the off-season. Make a non-tender deadline, Rule V protection deadline, Rule V Draft on last day of Winter Meetings. Free Agent Filing 5 days after end of WS. Awards announced after Free Agency. Also include new Utility position for Gold Glove and Silver Slugger. And finally give the option of which rookies to retain and which to non-tender instead of auto rendering each pre-arb player 5. Tied to finances but Relievers are extremely undervalued by the game. Multiple Off-seasons I can get a top reliever on a one year deal and usually I can get them signed for $10-20 mill tops. And a lot of times they won't sign until preseason or spring training. And on the position player side it's rare in real life already but I have never seen a contract longer than 8 years |
