I don't remember if it was FHM8 or 7 where I increased the cap by $1mil each year and eventually the top players were getting $10-$12, even $13 mil/year.


It's like you say, teams are spending and likely keeping some of their top players which is good but at the same time, teams run out of cap space so some top players end up as FAs and no team has the money to sign them - at least not for a season or two.



I know now there's better chance now of such a player signing with an international league but in prior installments it was just odd seeing a 4.5 star play 25-26 years old, missing out on a year or 2 of their "prime",


I'm sure it's a difficult thing to handle from a programming standpoint. I could see lowering salary tiers, but I wonder if that would make it too easy for us.

"aligning every decision made" I literally pointed out one of the top players of the league is getting paid 30%ish less than he should. Imo its big deal in salary cap world.

This one instance has fixed a much larger issue(the aforementioned pile up of elite players in FA) without creating an issue of a similar magnitude(otherwise it wouldn't have made it out of testing), which in my books is a compromise I'm willing to make. If the Jets go on to suck because they can't flesh out their roster due to the higher PLD contract and Boston go on to pick up some guys with their extra cap room then I guess that's just the shape of the league in this dynamic fictional universe that is being generated for my enjoyment, not to predict a financially ethical version of a future reality.

Exactly, compromise youre willing to make. Im paying customer and if i dont like the product i assume they would like to know that and reason as well. Youre still allowed to enjoy and play the game buddy

Yes, youre right. Just not sure if my imagination still works that well and yeah that free agent problem was bigger than this.

Its extra work like you said and using comish mode stops me to collecting steam achievements and i like those

It’s a test file that I have already simmed past, so unfortunately I have no idea what they were asking for. I’m not at my computer at the moment, but I’m planning on stopping my sim around 2045-2050 and I’ll take a look at the free agency screen in November/December and post the results.
