Weird Graphics Issue

I fired up the game a bit ago and ran into a couple of problems. First off, when loading a save, the game crashes during the loading process. I wasn't smart enough to keep the save to send in, of course.

I then started a new game and am having some weird graphic issues. The continue button is smaller than normal, the email inbox and roster text are both black, and when I look at a player's profile, the bars that display their ratings are missing. It also seems like some other text is darker than normal.

I attempted a fresh install and several new games but the problem persists.

Help!

Try going into Settings from the start screen, changing Current Skin to whichever one isn't currently selected, then exit the game, restart, go back to that setting, and change the skin back to what you originally had selected and exit and restart again. That will often clear that sort of graphics issue.

Re: the save that's crashing when you try to load it, if it happens again try copying the files from the rs_one or rs_two folders into the main save folder, those are the backups; doing that may make the save loadable again (if one doesn't work, try the other.)

The skin change trick worked!!!

And I actually nuked the save and started fresh. I wasn't even out of October of season one yet, so no real loss there.
