Manger Teaching Ratings?
When selecting a manager for my organization, do the Teaching skills (Catching, Infield, Outfield, Running) have any meaning?
Also, who uses Influence Mechanics? Just Pitching/Hitting Coaches? What skills do I want my manager to have? Thanks. |

I assume that RL organizations have put countless hours and research into figuring out the absolute most important qualifications for a manager, so I look for OOTP managers who tick one or more of the three criteria that are by far the most important when it comes to getting an actual MLB Manager's Job:
* Are they of large stature? * Are they ruggedly handsome? * Are they a former pro Catcher? |

I light of the ongoing silence from OOTP concerning the soft skills side of the game, I just default to trying to find managers for the minor league levels who have better than average teaching and I tend to emphasize the Development stat. I also try to have decent hitting and/or pitching skills, but those are secondary as you have specific coaches for them.
