Starting pitcher recovery (rest days)
I would like to be able to control how many rest days starting pitchers need between starts. At the moment this is directly controlled by setting the pitching rotation: 6 man rotation means generally 5 days needed for full recovery, 5 man rotation 4 days and 3 man rotation 2 days. If you have a pitcher who started 4 days ago and is 65% rested and you change your rotation size from 5 to 4 then he immediately becomes 100% rested.
So rotation size controls a pitcher's recovery ability instead of the other way around. This becomes a problem when you have a schedule with a lot of off days. In my fictional league teams played 4 games a week and I wanted starters to pitch once a week. The idea being that this was a low level league were starters needed more rest between starts. But this can not be properly handled by the game at the moment. By setting the rotation size to 4 men, starters recover quicker instead of slower and there is no way to control this. It becomes a major problem when you get to the playoff, the most important part of the season, as the AI will then insist to start pitchers on 3 days rest every time without exeption. Thereby basically killing the entire idea behind the league.
Every possible work around you can think off will not work. Tried them all and each comes with other major issues.
I think there should be a way for players to directly conrol how quickly pitchers recover between starts.
