I'm attempting to make the Zentmeyer Dome from scratch. Here's my progress so far.

Lower bowl sketched in.

I was a bit sloppy here. Didn't measure either side properly, so when I had to meet in the middle behind home plate, one side was longer and shorter than the other. Thank goodness for the smooth tool.

It is looking good! One recommendation is to take elements of your stadium, like the field, the dugout, and maybe stands; and save them as separate sketchup files. If you do this, it will allow you to import them into future projects and make the process even faster.

But it looks good and look forward to the final product.

Absolutely. I spent the extra time making the diamond perfectly measured just for this purpose.

Still some odds and ends to clean up before I am finished- but here's a quick screenshot of McNeil hitting a bomb over the center field wall. The baseball is in the red circle.

I haven’t added 3D crowds yet, because I still have things to adjust in the model. That’s the last thing I’ll do before uploading the final park files.

When I'm not working on the Z Dome, I work on other stadiums.

Above is the Drubel County Stadium. The right field wall is a little over 28' high.

I'm also doing the Locko Dome. It's feature is a large fountain in straightaway center that is technically in-play.

I really like doing these. I'm a painter and professor, so working on these brings out the artist in me.

Drubel County again. Here's my WIP sculpting the Club Level, Suites, and Upper Deck portions to be a bit more realistic.

Overkill? Perhaps, but I love detailing these models.

Headaches now with images...anyone know why the circled images are clipping?

That happens to me occasionally. You may have two faces right on top of each other. Try clicking the face and deleting, you may have your real face right underneath.

The ZDome is practically done. I have a couple more things I want to add/change and then I'll make a file for download.

Meanwhile, here's Drubel County, with textures starting to be put in.

Ok, here's the finished ZDome for downloads. Enjoy a small, domed park (CF is only 366ft from homeplate!)

I know the bunting looks funky in-game...I can't figure it out right now. It looks fine in my Sketchup file. If I can figure out how to fix it, I will re-upload.

Looks good. Now i have to figure out which teams in my 3 active leagues will use it.
