Great job on the new CF Meta

I'm really happy with the new CF Meta for Perfects.

More than just a compliment, I hope the OOTP dev. team can see why this is important, and why they should be doing it for every position (and for every card level).

After Thursday, there are now 3 legitimately viable options for a premier team at CF: Griffey, Charleston and Flood.

Griffey has the massive power advantage, especially good vs. righties (which is still majority of pitchers) and he also has a noticeable defensive advantage with +13 on error rating (over Charleston) - has good contact, decent hitting stats (outside of power) and decent speed. Guys who really value power have every reason to go with Griffey.

Charleston has all the hitting stats except power, mashes vs. righties, has great defense, and then has that amazing speed - 110 spd and 105 stl (and 122 baserunning!) - that's on a player who can hit actually get on base a lot. A ton of steals and XBH (triples). I honestly don't know who is the better choice between him and Griffey, but players who love speed/high average will definitely play Charleston.

Flood is the dark horse, and the hardest one to get (tourney reward). CF is the second most important defensive position, and his defensive ratings are phenomenal - along with actually solid contact hitting ratings, he's an especially viable option against lefties as a platoon for one of the two above. For the guys that really value defense at the premier positions, he'll be the first choice.

To top it off, all three cards play in different eras (1922, 1967, 1995) so if you are a truly top player, you still need all three to have the best tourney teams.

This is just really well done. Bravo. It's cool to play against different lineups all the time - and especially to see it mixed up significantly in Perfect League, with the very top teams fielding different choices based on preference, because the meta is actually varied.

I can't really think of another position where this also holds true in Perfect League yet, though there are definitely some examples in lower levels. It'd be great to see this be a general goal for all the positions at all the tourney levels.

Anyways, great job on the new CF meta, team!

It's looking pretty good - sitting 8 games up in first place in Diamond League right now, hopefully heading back to Perfect League for the 2nd time.

I don't have any of the these 3 CF yet, but I'm sitting on 2 million PP worth of live cards (quicksell value). So my live investment for the year is just about over, and after the next update I finish the two mission sets that I haven't (NeL 2, CS2).

Ask me after October 10th, and I'll know how good my team is, LOL.
