If Volusia comes back to beat Sugar Valley, it would be historic because they would have to erase a 3-0 deficit to do so. Volusia won Game 4, so let’s see if they can keep it going.

Off by one game in terms of predicting the Glasco-Valka series result, but no matter, I think. Advancing after five games may be better than advancing after six here, perhaps, to be honest. Now we just have to see who comes next for Glasco, then, it seems. CD out.

RU Division Series - Game 7

In their first postseason appearance, the Sugar Valley Rattlers have advanced to the RU Title Series. The were pushed to Game 7 by the pesky Volusia Vigilantes, but the Rattlers came through in the end. In Game 7, Barrett Parverol was 4-4 with 2 doubles, a home run, and 4 RBI. He was clearly the well-deserved MVP of the series. Ryan Haney hit a 2-run blast in the bottom of the 8th to break a 5-5 tie, and Ernie Blake shut the door in the bottom of the 9th to secure a 7-5 win and Division Series victory.
