Saved gave went bad?

I am using the Steam version on a PC.

Had exited a saved game earlier and when I went to load it later on, I got these two errors:

Is there any way to fix that?

don't happen to have a back-up do you?
if you hadn't saved the game on exit - you possibly could have used the auto save feature, but it appears you did save on exit - so that probably wouldn't work now.
only thing i know that will work is to restore from an earlier time, via a back-up file.

Huh that sucks, that's 2 years in a row that saved games have ended my base game franchises then.

You should hopefully be able to restore from the autosave feature.

Restore from autosave instructions:

1) Open the game and on the start screen, click on Settings.

2) Now click on the tab "Troubleshooting".

3) Click "Open folder containing saved games".

4) Now open up the league folder you're wanting to restore.

5) Then select all of the .dat files in the folder and back them up (just in case) by copying them to a temporary folder or creating a zipped file with them

6) Open the folder called "auto-save".

7) In there, select all of the ".dat" files and copy them to the league folder (the parent of the current folder) overwriting all of the ".dat" files in the league folder.

8) Now start the game and load your league.

Thanks, that got me back in to the league that was affected. I feel guilty as it was set to a day earlier and I just won a game that I had lost.

Seems to have done something weird with the financials to me as I somehow got a large windfall of cash after the season, but it otherwise looks good. I think I had maybe 60 million in free budget space and 20 million around in cash (have it set to where there is no limit to how much cash a team can have). But now I have something like 350 million in cash. Still, it's much better than a dead save game!
