Warning:DB path not found

See screenshot.

Is this possibly catastrophic? How do I fix?

Running Steam version.

Type this in (adjusting as needed for things that are differently named on your system). This is what mine has. Your line is blank and that's a problem.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Out of the Park Baseball 23\data\stats

My Steam Database path line is in a different screen. Strange.

Looked at my game and see the same as RchW. Never noticed this before. I went and looked at my v22 game and the line is blank there too. Normal and we never noticed before because the warning message is new? Did this message just show up in the latest patch, and why?

FWIW I played games not knowing this was present without issue. Also had to have played seasons in v22 without issue.

Also will attach a screen from my "database" tab. In there the path my save is using is spelled out. Looks the same in v22.

Wait and see what Matt has to say, I guess.

Guessing because you have a historical game loaded? My game is a standard game and I don't have the "historical" tab you do.

Same here. My league is fictional, well into the future.

Yup. I tested on a historical game. Blank for me on a fictional league too but seems to be simming fine...

Been like that for a while.

Pretty sure it has to do with if you're using a custom DB for importing rookies, you would input it there. If you just use the default it shows as you see it.

Was leaning that way after checking my v22 install and looking at the database tabs in both 22 and 23. So the question, to me, is why all of a sudden is the warning there?

Sure, it doesn't really matter as long as my game is playing and saving properly but that doesn't mean I'm not left wondering.

Yes I hope one of the devs can chime in on this. Ping Matt Arnold!

That warning probably doesn't need to be there. Or at least, warning is probably too strong of a note on it, since looking through, if that isn't set, we'll usually just default to the normal stats folder. You can set something there if you wanted to use a custom db path for a league.

And if you're not using any historical pieces (like historical financials or rookies or settings), then it should be more than fine to ignore that.
