I'm wondering what the exact definitions are for "rookies" and "veterans" and "players" when it comes to the ratings for managers and bench coaches. The old manuals used to have a section on this saying Rookies are all players under 25, Veterans are all players with 10 years service time, and Players are everybody else. This language was removed from the manual in OOTP 18 and since then there is no longer any specific definition listed.
I think that language is no longer accurate, because I've noticed that for EVERY manager/bench coach, the "handle players" rating is just the average of the rookie and veteran ratings. Which seems to me like that wouldn't make sense if "players" was actually a distinct definition. Does anybody know what the current definition of these are? Currently trying to min-max the personnel throughout the organization I just took over in my fictional save and I wouldn't mind a better understanding of these ratings when it comes to my minor league managers. |

Honestly, I don’t think minmaxing whatever it is you’re trying to minmax will make much a difference. Tilting at windmills.

It is my belief that when playing with either historical or fictional players and the player's emotion feature is off the coaching gets along stuff means zero. It is my belief that when playing with historical players and the emotion feature on it means zero (or close to zero) and should really be zero. If it's any higher I'm terribly disappointed. Its entirely possible that with any settings the coaches personality features are only for flavor.
