Just had an MLB single-game record set...

...for most runs scored by a team while being no-hit:

Not only that, but it took a 2-run walk-off homer for the no-hit team to lose. No team had ever scored more than 2 runs in an official* no-hitter according to my crack Google research.

It would be nice if the game recap somehow acknowledged this (not the record necessarily, but the team no-hitter).

*The White Sox did score 4 times in that famous Andy Hawkins "no-hitter" for the Yankees but since Chicago won at home they only batted in 8 innings so it wasn't an official 9-inning no-hitter.

Something similar to this happened to the Reds and Hunter Greene earlier this season IRL. As a team they no hit the Pirates despite losing 1-0. Not as spectacular as your no hit loss, but still noteworthy. This does happen.

Also, I'm totally in favor of seeing something in the post game recap acknowledging big things like this.

Anyways, pretty cool man. Thanks for sharing this.

In 1990 the White Sox got no-hit by Andy Hawkins but won the game 4-0. The game was played in Chicago so Hawkins only pitched 8 innings as a result. At the time it was considered a no-hitter but MLB changed the rule the following year to require the pitcher to throw a full 9 innings, so Hawkins' 8-inning complete game got ruled out.

So a no hitter has to be nine innings... unless your name is Harvey Haddix.

??? There were no no-hitters in 1959 according to the official MLB records

They decided a game is a game didn't apply. A game had to be nine innings (Hawkins) but nine innings for Haddix didn't count.
