Lost game

Last night I was happily playing a game in my 1966 Season sim, Phillies and Dodgers, in the third inning. I got a message that the Phillies [IRL - 2022 version] had just beaten the Braves. So, without closing my OOTP GO game, I clicked on the MLB site, to confirm the win. A few minutes later, I returned to my GO game screen, only to find the game-in-progress was gone. Instead, I had the pre-game screen, as if those three innings had never happened. Worse yet, I was up 2-0, and my pitcher Rick Wise had not allowed a baserunner. I practically took my iPad apart, trying to find that game screen; but it was gone. Why would this happen? Do I need to save, just to switch to a different window or app, only for a few minutes? I’m reporting at a bug. That shouldn’t happen.

Game is labor intensive so might not be a bug.

Just happened a second time. I momentarily switched to email on my iPad. When I returned to the GO game I was playing, it had reverted to the home screen. Nothing was saved, and I could not return to my game. I did notice that GO includes a "save and exit" button. Does that mean I have to save and exit (and hope the data is preserved), just in order to open a different window? Hard for me to resist literally decades (Windows 3.1!) of being able to shift between windows without loss of data. Why would this program be the only one to fail?

I have sadly have games crash that I need to replay in Go but just now in the new version I was in the 14th inning of a 3-3 game and the game just closed itself. When I reopened it I assumed I was going to have to replay the game, but instead the game was simmed (restarted from the beginning not a continuation of the tie game).

As much as I dislike replaying a game that was in progress, I dislike it more that it was played for me.

It should save the game for you when you exit without needing to do the save + exit. It's a bug if it doesn't save automatically, so if it happens to you frequently, can I ask you to enable debug mode and send over a trace file if it happens again?
Otherwise, I'd suggest using the save + exit before switching just to be safe

Just happened again. I forgot to use save + exit, duh. I will enable debug mode and create an innocuous game that I can afford to lose, and see if it happens again.

Hi, is this related to the corruption issue on mobile? Can you please clarify what code you're referring to?
