The United States Baseball League (Earth 2)
Prelude to the United States Baseball League Introduction
Like many of us on this great OOTP forum, I was inspired by many talented people on here who have amazing imagination and wonderful ideas. I know that my league name is not much of an original, and know that I won't be the last using this league name as well. I thought about the National Sandlot League, but I wasn't coming up with great logo ideas, and I noticed similar logos that work well with the USBL logo that I used, and modified (placing the USBL letters inside the logo). Big shout outs to TXRanger, Knuckler, justafan, reds1, nopepper, low, hockey13Playa, Robo, SFGiants58, Daniel Saline, Mad Monk, Silvam14, eriqjaffe, Nielsoncp, gern44 and god knows who else who hasn't come to mind just yet. So much talent out there! I will eventually come here with a fictional backstory on how the league came about, but for now, I will mention the team names and the leagues that they will play in. I will display each season's uniforms for each franchise, while some of these team's names will change, as well as inevitable relocation and expansion. I hope you will enjoy, Shawn |

Introduction to the United States Baseball League
The USBL League Setup
The United States Baseball League was originally in the works as early as the early winter months of 1898. Baseball was in a transition period, there were many leagues, in fact some could argue that there was too many. There were leagues that were once considered strong and steady, now hanging onto dear life. There were leagues that had very few restrictions, which allowed gamblers, and questionable men all while under the influence of alcohol, running rampant in the dugouts and clubhouses with rumors of prostitution in those clubhouses -- literally something out of the wild, wild west. There were independent leagues ran by religious sectors, Native American Baseball Leagues, and the 19th century Negro Baseball Leagues. No one quite understands who exactly created the great game of baseball, but we do know the sport is shaping life in this great, young country. The sport ascended from its early infancy in the 1850's, evolving from Rounders to Town Ball and on to the game that it is today. The United States Baseball League was officially created in 1900 by French-American Rubert-Jean Pierre and Pittsburgh steel tycoon W.B. Keaton... Their stories along with the genesis of the USBL still to come. Last edited by Summers76; 08-11-2022 at 11:24 AM. |
