Forcing Trades
I just started a new solo league. How do I turn on a setting where I can force trades through even if they are unbalanced?

You need to be in Commissioner Mode

Once you are in Commissioner mode and can force a trade, I would still suggest using the "make this work" button, just to see what it would take. Normally, the AI asks for one of your best players, totally out of proportion to the deal. But sometimes, there is a guy included that you might consider dealing. Or including in return for someone else from the other side. I have gotten deals done this way, when I was about to force a deal I thought was fair.
Depending on your era, throwing in money (or agreeing to pay part of the salary of a player you are trading) can make the deal work. Of course you need the money in your player budget (although that too can be manipulated in Commissioner mode). And you can keep adding money until you find the AI's "sweet spot". |
