My Full Realistic MLB World Is Finally Done

Here it is! After a month of on and off work, I've finished my realistic world quickstart set to start on March 10th, 2022.

This is the 2.0 file!

You will find nearly every team to have their correct graphics, all leagues should have up-to-date settings, and all tournaments development leagues should function correctly.

I have also included ballpark graphics from micropterus58 and paulloukes. I've heavily utilized Nutt's AIO. I have formatted all of itsmb8's Nike MLB uniforms, including alternates. I have used a lot of PSUColonel's and others findings on league settings. I have some expansion uniforms from golem64 and michaeldanger19. I lurk around a lot on here, but I'm always looking if these guys, among others, are posting.

[The Game]

Can you share some screenshots? Is this just the current 30 MLB teams with Indy league and the various International leagues all with correct logos, jerseys & setups? Or is it your take on MLB? Sounds cool regardless.

Interesting set up. Just a heads up for you... jerseys for both of the Mavericks league teams are available. Isedelyod has the copa jerseys on his onedrive. I don't remember who made the Salem senators set, but they made a fictional Oregon based league, You'll also find the Portland Pickles in the same set. I'd also search for the other 2 West Coast League teams because I know I've got something for them... Just not sure if it's just logos or what off the top of my head right now and I'm not home currently so I can't check for sure.

in seeing what you do with this. I'm working on a Northern Michigan/UP combo league right now, kind of an outgrowth of my old UPBA QS extending southward.

I'm focusing on Ludington--Pinconning northward FWIW.

So, that world can be found on that spreadsheet I linked. I have 200 teams with every county seat represented. I plan on starting it at some point in history. Thinking 1908, 1920, 1937, or 1948.

The teams will gradually show up as I don't want Detroit's suburbs to be playing when they wouldn't have even existed yet.

I won't be too worried about the 'burbs. The Flatlands are at least a year off for me to consider. My work on leagues comes rather slowly as I have sky boxing and beta testing for a couple of projects...and I'm recovering from the Mac OS beta of Ventura—it creamed my MacBook and I'm still not fully up and running again.

Your plan sounds great though. I'll be excited to watch it fill out.

I downloaded the file and put into my quickstart folder. But I when I try to open it:

"This quickstart game must be loaded from our server before you can use it. Please open the Add-Ons Central in the game menu."

OK, I go to Add-Ons Central, and your quickstart isn't there. Is there a trick to this or something? Help!

Thanks for sharing this quickstart, it looks amazing.

I wish I could combine my world with yours without restarting because I just spent a month adding an R+ level, reducing the teams in the existing rookie levels, and trimming the organizations of the 30 MLB teams. I'm sure I will use your quickstart for my next save though.

The quickstart works normally for me on windows using the steam version of the game.

Do you have a double folder? i am on steam but I downloaded it from here, unzipped it and put it in my quickstarts folder. I started it but haven't done anything with it yet. When I unzzipped it, it had a double folder but all my unzips do that.

Just D/L last night and worked perfectly for me. Maybe something happened while you unzipped it? Did you try unzipping it again?

Go into your quick starts folder. How many double clicks in his Quickstart til you see the .dat files? Should be 1. It should be file - content. if its file-file-content then you have a double folder. post some screenshots if you want, maybe theres something else.

So, if I wasn't making this a real world quickstart, that is how I'd have my stuff set up. This is the initial build, and then I will build off of it with extra minor leagues and such.

Anyone else having issues with the game crashing after a full season using this quickstart? Trying to sim a year out to test my stat modifiers and it always crashes if I try to sim through the season.
