Too many draft prospects coming from the same schools

I'm unsure how the school frequencies for prospect creation are weighted, since I don't know how to open and read an XML file, but I'm seeing far too many prospects come out of the same schools. I'm using a real world startup. I've played a few seasons in OOTP 23, and each season I see roughly ten kids from certain high schools (Brother Rice in Illinois, Archbishop Moeller in Ohio) and at least fifteen-to-twenty from Texas Tech, LSU, UCLA, and even Dallas Baptist. Other JUCO schools seem overpowered too, including Scottsdale Community College, though I do love the nickname of their mascot, the Fighting Artichokes.

I get that some programs are stronger than others, but it takes away from the realism factor when entire teams worth of 25 players are headed to the pros and other smaller schools produce no minor leaguers. I haven't seen a single player from an HBCU in four seasons even after filtering through looking for them.

Is it possible to add more variety to the schools prospects graduate from? I would love to see some D2 and D3 kids progress through the ranks and take a crack at the show.

I'm fairly certain you can open xml files in a browers or notepad.

The actual frequencies from these schools in the schools db are not so high that this sort of thing should be happening, so it makes me wonder if either the schools db is not getting fully loaded or there's some sort of a bug where the full distribution of all the schools in the db is not correctly being applied. I'll add this to our list of things to take a closer look at.

Excellent, thanks so much Lukas! I haven't seen this in prior versions.

Lukas, just an update that I've reloaded the schools database numerous times and generated multiple draft classes and am still running into the same issues.

Moeller High School in Cincinnati. Very famous school with multiple Ohio football championships and baseball players Ken Griffey Jr and Barry Larkin. Not relevant to the actual bug but brought back great memories of living in Cincinnati.

Yeah, this is not fixed in today's build, sorry It's a fairly complicated issue, so will take a bit longer to sort out.

Has this been patched yet by any chance? Looking to start a new save but don't want to until it is resolved.

Hi Lukas and team, it's been a couple of months and just wanted to follow up on whether or not this has been resolved. Thanks again for all your continued work on the game!

This seemed better as I was looking through the schools that appeared in some of my test to the point where I've assumed we'd fixed this.

That being said, as I look through the resolved bugs I do not see that we actually have this listed. That may just be an oversight though.

So I'm a little unsure of the exact status here. I'll check into it a little more and we'll go from there. If there is still anything off here, we'll sort it out.

But wouldn't it be more of a bug if you started seeing players from HBCU getting drafted frequently? Look at the yearly draft results... so many of the college players come from the top 5 conferences
