Why are PT23 Rewards Borked?

I have logged in multiple times a day since I got 23 and I should have received the Historical Pack reward today but now it shows that I am on Day 3?!? I thought 22 was bad but 23 is 100x worse when it comes to this. Thankfully I won my league so I was able to afford 2 good players.

Your timing was probably off a few days ago. The PT “day” starts and ends at midnight GMT which means 8PM to 8PM in the Eastern Time Zone during daylight savings.Say that you log out at 7PM EDT and then log back in the next night at 8:30 EDT. In that cased you were not logged in at all during the Perfect Team “day”. PT22 ran on the exact same schedule.

In the last 5 days I have played OOTP at various times from 8 pm CDT to 8 am CDT along with often around 2 pm CDT. My last reward was several days ago despite the fact that I have played often over the last several days.

Did you play PT every day or do you also play the main game? The game may very well have messed you up but usually it turns out to be an issue of missing a 24 hour cycle by not going into PT during the window.

I've opened OOTP from a reboot several times over the last several days. My PC is 8 yrs old. I play a game or 2 and I shut OOTP down and reboot. I have a tendency to play often at 1 am - 7 am. then again whenever the White Sox are on.

Just opening OOTP itself is not enough, you need to log into PT specifically at least once within each 24 hour period.

But sometimes even logging in to PT does not trigger the punchlist to come up and show your login reward. Frequently you have to either log in twice or make a purchase from the card shop. I've been reset several times when I was certain it had been less than 24 hours since my previous login.

I had been faithfully logging in every day since I purchased the game again for the first time years because of PT...and after 3 weeks suddenly I went back to Day 1. What Charley said has happened to me a few times where I had to log in a few times.

Here's what happened for me tonight, just as an example:

Today should be Day 14. The reward is a silver pack. I log in. No punchlist. No pack rewarded. I go into the card shop and buy a couple cards I need for a mission. Go back to my punchlist. Still on Day 13. I log out. I then log back in. Miracle of miracles! Still the punchlist does not come up on screen but there is now an unopened silver pack shown. I manually select the punchlist and I'm now shown on Day 14.

Some days the punchlist does come up the first time. It's inconsistent, and that is a problem, guys.

Agreed! Every time this is brought up, I'm afraid it gets conflated with the 24 hour GMT thing. This is a separate issue and a bug.

I currently have 100 consecutive log-in days and I've figured out how to deal with issue.

Solution:

1 You must actually log-in and load up PT - just logging in or loading up the regular game won't do it.
2 Second, if it doesn't trigger the first time, log out and log back in.
3 If it still hasn't triggered, buy a standard pack for 1K PP. At this point, it is 100% guaranteed to trigger, zero exceptions.

It is a bit of an annoying bug, but it's easy to work around.

My complaint:

There should be other milestones. So 50 days, 75 days, 100 days, these should offer a separate reward outside of the base login rewards.

Agree on your complaint.

And I know it's an easy work-around, but it would be nice to see it acknowledged as an actual bug by developers rather than it being lumped in with the GMT thing and dismissed...

That I did not know. I tend to only go into PT on Wednesday and Sunday when I purchase cards. Last time I went in was Sunday but I have received all my rewards since Sunday though. i did have to re-do my login/PW today though.

I wish rewards were not day specific nor do I wish they'd reset. I have been playing SWGOH since 2017. I do miss a day from time to time. At the end of a month I still have a day or 2 left for rewards and I lose out on those when the new month starts.

I'm sure this works, but that's not the point. The point is that you have to babysit it. You have to trick it to make it acknowledge your login. You have to follow up with it to make sure it gives you the login credit. It's not automatic. That's the issue.

Just adding another voice to the "not the same as the GMT timing" chorus. I've lost streaks on 2 teams because of the bug.

Another thing to add, not particularly helpful but a data point nonetheless: every time I've not had the login streak pop-up appear, I still have the reward credited to my account, confirmed by the transaction log. Sometimes I have to log out and log in again in order to see the day advance correctly, but the reward has always appeared (except those 2 instances where the streaks were incorrectly broken).

My rewards didn't pop up today. I just logged in a lil bit ago. Played around 1 this after noon. I did get my reward late last night.
