Laptop Compatibility - 2 in 1 Mode?

Hoping the Board can share some insight on whether OOTP 22 is playable in laptop "tablet mode." I am looking to purchase a Dell XPS 13 2 in 1 laptop with the hope to play the game using the tablet function while I travel on plane/train.

There should be no issue with hardware specs (1920 x 1200 resolution; i7 11th gen Intel processor; 32 gig ram; 1 TB hard drive), but I cannot figure out if I will be able to play in tablet mode. Ideally, I would be able to play in tablet and use the dell active pen or touch screen. Don't really want to spend the extra money for a 2 in 1 laptop if it isn't useable for OOTP. Thoughts?

Thanks,

I'm not sure if non-mouse input works well, if at all; it'll be more important then ever next year thanks to the Steam Deck.

Not sure how I missed your response, but thank you for taking the time to share.

All,
Since it has been 6+ months since I last posted about this (and due to the fact that I held off waiting for 12th gen processors to release), I am back thinking about this again. For those on the Board that play on laptop, anyone using a 2 in 1 to play the game in tablet mode? If so, does it work well, any challenges, etc...
Thanks

Apologies in advance if this isn't quite the answer you're looking for as I stumbled onto your post by accident thinking I was in the OOTP 23 forum, but I would assume that most of what I say about 23 would also apply to 22.

So I play OOTP23 on a Surface Pro 7 and it works wonderfully well. I play out all of the games and mainly use the tablet mode for that, I'll still generally use the keyboard to set up my franchise initially as all the drag and drop can become painstaking, but as far as general day to day stuff for the franchise and playing out games, it works great.

One personal concern whilst playing the games out however was that I missed how easy it was to simply press the space bar to throw the next pitch. So I've got a very small keyboard widget on the screen where I like it (yes I know you can just press continue, but I didnt really like where the button was on the screen) and just press that to progress the game.

Hope this helps a little bit as I definitely enjoy the convenience of using it on the tablet.

Yes, this is the feedback I was looking for. With business travel picking back up (and plane seat space seemingly getting smaller and smaller), I like the idea of being able to play in tablet mode while flying.

Well, final report - ended up getting a good deal on Samsung Galaxy Book 2 360 - tablet mode, overall, works well. I’m excited to play on the plane.
