EC, I'm wondering what you think of CD's Cape Coral Hurricanes graphics. I requested that their jerseys match the logo colors, which are orange and a purplish-blue, and CD honored my request. I'm currently using them. They may not be your cup of tea, but I like them, and I guess that's what matters.

There's an orange hat, too, for Cape Coral's Hurricanes, posted elsewhere in this particular thread, just so you know, EC. IF you're sufficiently interested in perhaps seeing it here, supposing you haven't already done so, of course, you know what to do, I'm sure. CD out.

Not to mention, of course, a few gradient-using items as well, come to think of it, actually, EC. He wasn't really a fan of the gradient-using items, though, it seems to me. CD out.

I don't think that goes well with the dark blue, light blue and orange I used. I'm much prefer what I am using for Cape Coral... light blue is usually associated with the sea... so I use Orange, Lt. Blue and Dark Blue... they match the Primary Logo and Secondary Logo pretty well, but not perfectly. I need to give credit to rocknfire7... he did the hurricane image for the logos... he also did the away jersey... I did the home jersey and used my cap for both home and away... his CAPE CORAL lettering is much better than my HURRICANES... I couldn't get HURRICANES to be as large as he did with CAPE CORAL I need to work on the logos... they have a green or gold in them that I need to recolor light blue... maybe that is where CD got the colors he used. I also don't care for the bluish purple on the logos, but I have to use it until I get it redone... I will try to make it the dark blue I used on the caps and jerseys... it may be a while before I do that... it won't be easy for me to do. Last edited by Eugene Church; 07-07-2022 at 04:11 PM. |

Well, I did use the colors present in the logo or logos, in any case, for sure, EC. I think I still did a fairly good job on the related items, just the same. Could I probably do better work for Cape Coral's Hurricanes here, in due time? I certainly believe I could, given the right images and all, somehow. Just might not be for a while longer yet, though. CD out.

So that little bit of gold in the Cape Coral logo should be light blue? I'd like to see what they look like if you can recolor them correctly.
I like this home jersey that rocknfire did, and here is a logo that he made. I do have the away jersey that you're using, EC. Last edited by jg2977; 07-07-2022 at 04:30 PM. |

Thanks for posting rocknfire7's home white jersey. I had lost it... I will use it instead of my home white jersey. |

Here's some versions by Low - his are made for a team called the Daytona Beach Hurricanes.
Lots of options. I really should have posted these in my thread, unless CD doesn't mind. Last edited by jg2977; 07-07-2022 at 05:43 PM. |

low's work is really good... he is one of my favorite designers.
His Hurricanes is very well done... I just like my colors better. Here are the Primary and Secondary Logos I just made. They are not as good as low, knuckler and txranger, but I will use them until I get something better. Last edited by Eugene Church; 07-07-2022 at 08:28 PM. |

No objections here from me, at this time, at least, to be sure. It helps to see what others have, if it's okay with them for other people here to show less-experienced or less-adept people like me what they did, often, I think. Also, it gives me at least one or two potential or actual examples of some such work to try to get closer in terms of average quality for my own items, at least frequently even, perhaps, folks. CD out.

CD, your work is fairly good when you create graphics in a traditional style and use standard colors.
I went back about 25 or 30 pages in this thread and found 2 sets that were very well done. You have done some nice work in this thread. I told which ones looked good to me. I also made suggestions on how you could improve your graphics, if you wanted me to use them. Here are the ones I like best: Quebec Nordiques Ancona Jumbos They are the only ones I would ever use in one of my leagues. I liked your St. Clair Indians, too... and recently the Cleveland Barons were pretty good, too... there is a slight chance I might possibly use them, too. You also use my Hillsboro Blazers, to a degree, it seems, do you not, at least? I believe you do, EC. Thank you for your input here, as always, of course. It is always appreciated, for sure, you know. CD out.

jg2977, how did Henry Clarence Freeman, Zebulon Richard Morse, and Kyle Jordan Walton each do in 1877 for their playing careers in your IPA? You haven't actually posted their respective statistics for that particular season yet, it seems. And it seems their teams each didn't make the post-season this time around, either. Please let me know as you like and can. Thank you. CD out.

Post them when and where you like, if and when you remember and all, then, of course, jg2977. Perhaps Henry will set the bar high for his four boys, at the very least, too. I don't think the two we missed the first time around will be two-way players, but we'll have to see. However, the earliest Gordon will be around this time around will be 1901, in any case, for sure, of course. AG in 1902, and the other two sometime after both GC and AG both debut in your IPA, as well. CD out.

Okay, where the teams are definitely from North America, at least, in many cases, I will try to be more traditional with certain teams' looks, if and when possible and appropriate enough, EC. But for certain fictional teams and/or leagues in certain fictional nations, you must also realize that what may be more traditional styling for leagues teams' looks and all in North America, for instance, may not be so traditional in their related nations, and may be seen as unconventional at times in those nations.
That being said, then, those fictional nations may have certain looks for their teams' items that may be considered more traditional in those nations than they might often be considered here, just so you know. Many of my nations have many people who often like bright colors and all in terms of clothing colors and all, for sure, and Slaabovia, for instance, is one such nation of mine here, EC. In any case, thanks yet again for your input here, and rest assured that it is always appreciated greatly, even if I don't necessarily agree with you about certain things related to that input, of course. I value your honest opinions greatly, just so you know, EC. CD out.

Here is the honest truth, CD... if you want people to use your graphics, make them in the traditional North American design similar to MLB and Minor League teams, not in the style of other worlds... that's what knuckler, txranger, low, silvam 14, cephasjames, Lawn Loaf, rocknfire7, golem 64 and many other fine graphics designers do... that is why they are popular and in much demand.
Do your unique world styles just for yourself... it should be clear by now that most people want traditional styles for their leagues. Should you get a request from someone in this thread to do a team for them, make them in the traditional style and use the colors that match the team city and team logo... and one day you may be in demand like some of the other designers. As long as you enjoy doing graphics, keep learning, keep trying and keep on creating graphics. Last edited by Eugene Church; 07-08-2022 at 12:08 PM. |

Unless, of course, they don't put at least one such restriction as to styles and all on me here, that is, EC? Just wondering, that's all, you know. CD out.
