3 months in and I prefer OOTP23
No game is perfect, not even Perfect Team oddly enough. If OOTP was perfect, the developers could go home and say "See ya!" and call it a day. Never gonna happen.
I bought OOTP23 when it was released and had no problem importing my saved game from OOTP22. I love the stadiums, the alternate uniforms, the regular uniforms, the painstaking detail and realism which is put into the game. It took me about 5 minutes and about 5 batters to get used to the new #4 Intentional Walk button and I know Perfect Team has been, well, Imperfect this year, but that doesn't mean the developers don't care. OOTP is constantly looking for ways to improve the game and make it better. Maybe it's not the way you would prefer it to be, but overall I think most of us enjoy playing it and appreciate the dedication and hard work from the team.
I was watching an older OOTP stream from 2 years ago on YouTube and couldn't help but notice how the gameplay and graphics have demonstrably improved since then. The stadiums look much better now and I love the transition from daylight to dusk to night. The 3D play is much smoother and better. Is it perfect? No. But there's always room for improvement and each year I think the game gets better.
Now that I FINALLY finished my 2020 "What If?" I'm finally going to start the 2022 season in OOTP23. I very much look forward to it.
