Unwanted PT Roster Changes

For the past couple of days one of my two PT rosters is being changed without my knowledge. My batting orders are being shuffled and players are being moved between the active and reserve rosters. All of this is happening without my permission. Curiously, it appears that the changes only take effect when I log in, as the new (i.e, unwanted) active players have not appeared in any games based on their stats and the players that have been involuntarily moved to the reserve roster still have to stay there for 14 days.

I have not altered any of my settings recently. The control settings of course are set to user, not the computer AI.

To say this is annoying is an understatement. In fact, in is extra frustrating in that this is my theme team, which is supposed to be exclusively dead-ball players but is now being populated by some modern players.

Is this happening to anyone else? Has something changed somewhere that is now giving the AI control of my team?

Can you enable trace mode before next logging in to that team? If the players did not appear in games yet, then this may be an issue with the game trying to reimport a local export in some manner. If you could also let us know what you were doing right before logging in to your team (ie. were you setting up a tournament roster, or checking another team, or was this freshly loading a game), and as well if this seems to happen if you are logged in and a new league file comes in, or from new?

Otherwise, it may be useful to go in and clear out the .pt folders from your saved games directory to ensure there are no old files around that may be causing issues. But if you see this again and can send in a trace file, that would help us identify fully the issue.

Thanks Matt for the response. I've enabled trace mode. The problem has not occurred in the last few logins, but if it does I'll send the requested info.

I posted about this exact issue 4 days ago and never got a response. And it's happening to 2 of my teams.....at least you got a response.

I think it's unrelated, but I guess I'll just whine about it here;

I've caught a few and missed a few, but it seems any time I'm in some draft tourney with a two-way player, there's a good chance that 6 hours later if I check it, two (or more) pitchers will be batters and no longer pitchers. Not the same ones, either. I don't think I've seen it occur w/ just one two-way player. Has to be two or more.

so, yeah, will end up with Kenny Rogers as my backup centerfielder, and no longer available in the Pitching section. Laugh.

My whole roster got removed today... so it is getting worse

i had another situation with a draft where a bunch of pitchers got moved to the batters section, and a bunch of batters got moved to pitcher section.

i also had two of the same player, john merrill

i re-organized and fixed this, then as the tourney was about to start i checked again, and it had re-****ed itself, though it did remove one of my john merrills, but still had hideo nomo as my shortstop
