Graphics Collection from CD's Ultra-Fine House of Style

Here are some New York Rangers items in my style. I used a site to blend certain shades of blue they used historically together into one color, and did the same for certain shades of red into another color, just so you know, jg2977. The font currently in question here that I used is Trump Town Pro, because I thought it looked fairly similar to their real-world font, if not entirely similar to it. The color-related information outside of pure white is below:

I thought about using the Manhattan borough flag on a shoulder of the uniforms, for that is where the real hockey team plays, but I chose not to use it for their related items that I have done so far or may do soon. At least at this point in time, I haven't decided to use it for any related items to them, anyway. Whether or not I will eventually do so in the future, that is, jg2977. That is all. CD out.

Here are some new items for the Tampa Bay Lightning that I've made so far here, jg2977. Font is Shock, and the color-related information for them, at least at present, here is below:

002e80 St Patricks Blue (0, 46, 128)
979da0 Spanish Gray (151, 157, 160)
ffc72c Mikado Yellow (255, 199, 44)

They've used that shade of yellow at times, it seems, for at least some of their items, so I'm using it here. The gray used is a blend of two shades of silver and/or gray, while the blue used is a blend of two shades of blue, for your information, jg2977. That is all. CD out.

I don't remember that shade of yellow, but perhaps they've used it in alternate jerseys. Anyhow, yellow does make sense for a team named Lightning or Chargers, and it does look good.

But can you do a version without the yellow and gray, and just the blue and white as I mentioned?

The uniforms need to look like this in terms of coloring, then I will use them. If you do want to use gray for the main color of the away uniform, that's fine, as gray is standard in baseball. But the home uniform should definitely be just white and blue, with no gray or yellow, or any other colors for that matter.

I'm just trying to help you become a better graphics designer. I know that you want to provide a great service to the OOTP community, but part of that is following peoples' requests and instructions exactly. When you do that, you do great work.

They have used gray or silver before on their items, so I decided to blend them together for the grayish/silver color used. I gathered the base codes for the relevant shades of both main colors, blue and gray/silver, along with the yellow, from what was actually listed for the Lightning on trucolor.net/, just as I did with the Rangers items. After collecting the needed color codes, wherever a blend was required to consolidate a color, I used another site to do that for each relevant color.

I have already collected colors to use for Vancouver's Canucks in the same way, but I still haven't done items for Vancouver just yet here. I do hope to somehow be able to complete them all very soon, jg2977. I don't know how well they'll look, just yet, for I still haven't made them here. I'll try to have them up for you, though, by sometime this evening U.S. Central Time, in any case. But if I can't, then I'll try to have them ready for you by sometime on Sunday, at the latest.

I'll try to get more items for the Lightning done soon that you may like and find useful enough with your recreated NHL dynasty, as well. I don't know how soon I'll be able to do that, just yet, mind you, but I'll see what I can do, as quickly as I can, et cetera, of course, Lord willing and all.

As for hockey, I normally prefer lighter-colored uniforms at home and darker-colored ones on the road, just as I generally do for at least baseball, football, and basketball, if not also certain other sports as well. I just think teams often look better when they normally leave the darker-colored uniforms for their road uniforms, all the way from high school up to professional sports competitions, for sure, jg2977. Of course, many people may not do so for certain sports, but I certainly do, more often than not.

I wouldn't say the New York Rangers-related work here is my best work yet to date on these forums. But others are certainly quite free to think as they wish about them, obviously. As far as the Rangers go, they historically haven't used a lot of different colors, normally, with their items in the past, I believe. So they were somewhat easier to do, for sure. Although, I wonder what New York baseball Giants and/or New York Knick(erbocker)s-themed uniforms and/or caps might look like for them, seeing as they're based in Manhattan now just as the Giants and/or Knicks were or have been for so long. Maybe something I'll try finding out later, when time permits and all, then, jg2977. CD out.

Once you redo the Tampa Bay Lightning and Vancouver Canucks, I'll give you a couple more teams. I don't want to overwhelm you with too many requests at once, so you can finish what you have.

Yes, for hockey I wish that they had stuck with the white home jerseys and dark away jerseys, because that's what I was used to while growing up as a kid. Back then, before the internet, seeing some teams' white home jerseys was a rarity as they were rarely broadcast on tv. I would really only see them for Whalers road games late at night on the West Coast, if they were on tv at all, if I was allowed to stay up late. A lot of those games were only on radio. So seeing white jerseys for teams such as Vancouver, Winnipeg, Calgary and Minnesota was special and interesting.

As for the NBA, there is no such thing as home or away jerseys anymore. As of the 2017-2018 season, the home team is allowed to choose whatever colors they want to wear for each game. And most teams have 5 or more uniform designs to choose from now.

Also, I started the 1873 postseason in my IPA 2.0. I believe I already have Henry Freeman's information, and I remember that he will join the Denton City Redbirds for the 1874 season.

I need to know who you want me to potentially update for the next few seasons in advance, for 1874 and beyond, as soon and as best as possible, please. And depending on that and the standings for 1874, we'll both have to choose a team for Zebulon Morse and/or his brother Jethro to play on when they start their respective careers, I think, before 1875 begins. Zebulon should be out of college long enough by the start of the 1875 season, I think. Please keep me posted, jg2977, as best and as often as you can. Thank you. CD out.

I don't need any more updating of my IPA teams at this current time, as I am happy with all my graphics now.

For the NHL, two more teams that are in need of updates are the Florida Panthers and Anaheim Ducks. As for the Ducks, I'd like the graphics to be done in relation to the throwback jerseys.

As for the Tampa Bay Lightning, although they have used gray and black in the past, that's irrelevant, because I want the OOTP uniforms to mimic what they're wearing in the current day, and that's only blue and white, as in post 2604 of this thread.

Here are some items I've made so far for Vancouver's Canucks. I don't really know if these will meet sufficiently with your approval here, of course, just yet, but here they all are anyway, jg2977. The font in question here is Cowboy Hippie Pro, and the current informational details for the non-pure white colors used here are as follows:

ffd100 Cyber Yellow (255, 209, 0)
bb2d39 Cardinal (187, 45, 57)
022864 Royal Blue Dark (2, 40, 100)

The green used here was one of their historical colors, and the city flag of Vancouver also has some green on it. I didn't use the same shade of green as on the flag, but I did use the green from their historical lists of colors here.

The yellow used is another one of their historical colors. And there's also yellow on the city flag, but it's perhaps not exactly the same shade of yellow as the Canucks have used before on their items.

The red color comes from a blend of two shades of red they've historically used for their items, and it's meant to reflect the fact that this specific Vancouver is in Canada. Even though the city flag doesn't have red on it, this Vancouver here is in Canada, so I included a shade of red here.

The blue used here is a blend of three historically-used shades of blue for the Canucks to date. Blue is also on the city flag, but this shade of blue is probably not exactly like the one used on the flag in question here, just so you know, jg2977.

Sorry, but your Vancouver jerseys don't meet my approval. I didn't ask for blue or green. Please look at these jerseys and use only these colors.

These are my favorite Canucks jerseys. I like the flying skate logo, and these are the colors that they wore when they reached the 1994 Stanley Cup Finals vs. the NY Rangers.
