Player images missing caps and uniforms after a trade

I've only made a few trades and I've only noticed this on my team. Not sure if it happens for computer controlled teams... After making a trade the player doesn't have a cap or jersey when shown on field.

I have 23.4.64 and I'm using a Mac.

Looks like this also happens when recalling players from the minors. Also, in some cases I can fix it by going into the player editor and choosing "Regenerate same picture", but other times (like right now) it doesn't work. Anyone else see this?

There have been a couple other reports about this happening. We're looking into it.

It might be helpful if you have (or can get) a trace log from the screen where the image first gets created without the uniform. We're having a really hard time recreating this. (I did see it one time, and of course it was just when I'd turned debug mode off for a few minutes

Hi Lukas. I turned on the trace file and recalled Jarren Duran from AAA. Prior to staring a game, his photo appeared correctly in the player detail page. However, I started a game when he got on base he was just a floating head. I saw two trace files so I added them both. I hope that helps. It's pretty easy for me to repro, so let me know if there is anything else you need.

I had this happen randomly. I changed my alternate uniform back to a regular uniform and all was well.

I was also thinking it had to do with custom/alternate uniforms. I have several from the All-In-One mod. Maybe knowing that will help repro the issue?

I was able to switch back to the alternate uniform before game start and all was well

Thanks Curt. When you say "changed my alternate back to a regular" and "switch back to the alternate", what exactly do you mean? Can you post the steps or a screenshot?

Okay, I was ready to start a season game and I noticed all my players in the lineup had no hats/bodies. I hit cancel game and went to team settings/uniforms. I switched my alternate uniform for the regular home uniform. Went back to start the season game and all my guys looked correct. I exited again and selected my alternate uniform. Went back to start the game and everything was still correct. Make sense ??

Let me know if this worked for you? I've played about 10 more games (PBP) and haven't had this issue again.

It looks like this wasn't fixed in the latest patch. Are you still having issues reproducing the issue? Did the log files help?

I had this happen again ingame with a player I had previously acquired in a trade. I updated team pictures and this seemed to resolve it.

Yes, I can keep resolving it by updating pictures, but the problem is that it keeps happening. I don't want to have to keep manually fixing this.

It's still on the list of stuff to get looked at (pretty high on it) but the dev who takes the lead on facegen has been out for a bit, so it'll probably only get sorted out once he's back.

No trace file but have it set to run next time I play.

Deleting alternates and going edit>remake same picture (whatever it's called) is necessary to get the face-gen back with uni and hat.

Haven't time to try to reproduce yet. For me it happened on a game day where I was scheduled to wear an alternate. I also saw it when loading a game's highlights where one team was wearing alternates. This was a game where my team did not play. The alternate jerseys showed up in the game. The fielder's boxes had no hat\uni for some of the players. It was weird, about half of the team had no hat\uni while the other half did.

Also on Steam. How do I run a trace log?

I ran a Verify Files last night and had 17 errors. I thought it fixed it, I guess not.

Both players were traded for recently. Will try switching jerseys after this game.
