Speed of new board

Am I the only one having problems with it taking forever for the new board to load? I'm running on a cable modem so there shouldn't be any issue....there was no speed issues before the change.

Joe, any ideas?

Strange, seems to load faster for me, and I've got one of them new-fangled dialup modems.

EDIT - I spoke to soon. My above reply took at least 5 minutes to load.

I actually find it very fast.

Then again, on a P4-1500, not much is slow.

Works just fine on my 56k. Keep in mind they said they would be making changes to the board after 6 p.m. today....so that could have been it.

on 256 DSL, and its loading quick. I thought this thread was going to comment on how fast things were loading, because I actually think it is faster than the old board. The font takes some getting use to though

The new board seems to be slower than dirt. Not really sure if dirt is that slow but this board is definitely slower than my perception of the speed of dirt.

New board doesn't seem any slower to me...and I am stuck with crummy dial-up connection until my town finally gets in cable modem.

More speed and bring on the women with bigger fonts!

But yeah, I'm on a cable modem, and not only is the board slow, but the patch is coming down at just over 1k/sec. And the first time I tried, it failed to finish.

I wonder if there's another worm slowing things down on the internet? The board seems to load very quickly for me at home as well as here at home. Don't know. I guess I'm just lucky.
