stadiums out of focus

MacBook Pro 14 inch laptop

Using very same setting for OOTP 22 and 23. This is for all stadiums. Stadiums came with game.

In 22 the stadiums and players are very crisp/sharp. I am able to read most of the small signs on the outfield walls (gasoline, Home Run, car rental, etc..). The players, the field etc. looks very crisp.
In 23 the stadiums look slightly out of focus. I can make out just the larger signs in the outfield. The players and the field looks slightly out of focus compared to 22.
Playing 23 I can only play out a couple games before I have to give my eyes a rest. Playing 22 I can play out several games.

Hopefully there is a simple fix.

I did contact (PM) another MAC user who stated they noticed the same thing. I originally bought OOTP 23 through the web site. Decided there was something messed up in the download, deleted game from computer, bought it through steam but same result (yes I was foolish for spending another $40 on the game).
Since there was no response, I guess it is not considered worth looking at.
Oh well. Disappointing but at least I had my game on OOTP 22 I could go back to.

It's not that it's not worth looking at but more that there's not really so much troubleshooting we can do on our end for something like this.

Given that the libraries used to render graphics change and get updated between versions (and on your system as well each time the OS updates) it's not always going to be the case that the same settings that worked best for the previous game will work best for the current game.

This is very likely something where you'd just have to experiment with the graphics settings to find the right settings to make 23 look sharper on your system. It may just be something as simple as playing in a higher resolution than the default. Making sure the Mac OS is up to date can help as well, as that will also update the video card drivers on your system.

Unfortunately, there are most likely always going to be more issues on Mac than on Windows, because Apple, for some reason, seems to have no interest whatsoever in making their OS changes backwards compatible.

So every time they update the MacOS, it breaks stuff that worked perfectly fine before and then we (and other developers) have to scramble to fix the stuff they broke. It's like playing whack a mole to try to keep up

It's bad enough when it's just on our end, but with stuff like the facegen issues, we can't fix that in-house because the issues are with the facegen program itself. So we have to wait on the facegen development team to fix that on their end, then we have to incorporate their changes and fixes into our libraries.

Yeah, totally understood. We're doing our level best to catch things up on Mac so everyone can play the game with full functionality.

MacBook Pro is a great computer but Apple does not make it easy for developers or users who want to add a file to a program. Took me forever to get real photos into OOTP 23 and couldn’t transfer my game from 22.
