Recalc in Minors

OK so one thing I have never noticed before (but have since confirmed it was there for v22) is that you can apply recalc to minor league levels in a save.

Oddly, the tab in which you do so is only available if you access it in a certain way.
  1. In the settings for the MLB / top league level, go to HISTORICAL.
  2. Click the dropdown menu that lists the various levels and choose one of the lower ones.

(If you select the league level first, no HISTORICAL tab appears for the lower levels.)

So, my question is this - has anyone noticed whether, if selected, this action actually does anything to the players in those lower leagues on the first day of the offseason when the recalc is done?

I'll more than likely be able to answer this for myself soon enough, as I have just switched it on for all three MiLB levels in my OFA save. Still, I am very interested to hear the thoughts and experiences of others in this regard.

Thanks

G

Well, it is nearly impossible to tell if any changes were made to the players I earmarked. Judge for yourself.

Before profiles first.

Choo Choo Coleman (AAA)

Was on the Yanks 40-man, which I think has resulted in him getting a recalc.

So here's one from lower down, for whom I see no discernible change.

One consideration is, of course, a lot of these MiLB guys don't have stats for anything past a couple seasons, so wouldn't be eligible for a recalc anyway.

So here's Clyde Sukeforth's scouting page. He does have plenty of MLB stats and is at AAA. It does look like he got redone.

So I really cannot tell. Hoping a dev can come on here and explain the process.

Luckyman, if I'm understanding your OP, I think what you are saying is that you are tricking the interface of the game to give you a Historical settings panel that applies to minor leagues. However, it's my understanding that if you go the Historical panel that you would normally go to, that it will apply settings to all leagues, all players. IOW, recalc on or off always applies to all players, regardless... That said, I'll be interested if you find out differently

Yes hef, that is what I'd love to have confirmed. I think it is probably the case that all players - where appropriate stats are available - get a recalc. Just would love to know 100%.
