Has anyone found a good % split for the amateur draft, that includes the common IFA nations?
I'm looking to make one single amateur draft, using the standard age restrictions, but I want to include nations like Dominican Republic, Venezuela, etc (which are all present in the IFA settings). Just curious as to the % modifiers if anyone has tested them out and had success |

Well it would be a little unrealistic because all those international students would be attending US high schools and colleges I believe

Yes that would look a bit weird...but not sure if this was OP intent but what I wish we were able to do is implement an international draft...and maybe what the OP was asking for is to integrate the Intl draft pool with the HS/College pool.

My intent was simply to expand the normal amateur draft to include the countries that are commonly used for international amateur free agents. I know how to add the countries to list of available nations for the amateur draft, just wanted to know if anyone else has done this and found a solid mix % for the nations involved.

How about we request an option for an actual International Draft. I understand if it were easy they would have shipped the game with it, but we can ask for it can't we?

I wish players in live international leagues could be eligible for the draft…not generated players. Of course this would require many more available leagues to accomplish.

? Why don't you just add international players to the draft like Canadians and Puerto Ricans already are? That's what MLB is talking about.

No, the proposal was for a separate international draft in addition to the rule 4 draft. The international draft as proposed during labor negotiations was different from how you describe it, it was a fully separate 20-round draft.

I understand that but I don't see what the difference is there from just adding those nations to your OOTP draft and adding rounds. You may be able to mimic it with regional rounds too.

Adding 20 regional rounds to the start of the draft and then setting every team's region to "DSL Qualified" might work, although it would be very hacky and might cause other issues. |
