Discrepancy between players_scouted_ratings.csv and ingame ratings when using scale 1-100

Hi all,

I'm very new to OOTP20. I bought this version a while ago on sale and I'm only just getting in to it now. Excel spreadsheets are my jam, so I'm very interested in the data export side of things.

I've been trying to figure out the math between the ratings captured in the players_scouted_ratings.csv export (OSA and Head Scout) and the in-game ratings.

I've largely got that math figured, but I've come across an interesting discrepancy:

Regardless of the scale selected, or whether relative scale to MLB is used (I'm basing my testing on an MLB player, so it made no difference anyway), the ratings exported into players_scouted_ratings.csv for the OSA (scouting_coach_id = -1) and Head Scout (scouting_coach_id = 229) for this particular player (Lewis Brinson - Miami Marlins) are 150 for Stealing, and 120 for Baserunning. The scouting ratings are identical in the exported csv file

When I review the in-game ratings with a scale of 20-80 selected, the ratings are 65 (Stealing) and 55 (Baserunning) for both OSA and Head Scout . That math works, and is consistent with the identical ratings for both types of scouts in the players_scouted_ratings.csv export.

However, if I change the scale to 1-100 and review the in-game ratings I get the following: OSA Stealing 76, Head Scout Stealing 78, OSA Baserunning 56, Head Scout Baserunning 59.

A fresh csv export still shows the same ratings across both scout types, namely 150 for Stealing, and 120 for Baserunning.

How can the csv file has the same ratings, but the in game ratings be different across both scout types? And why does this problem only appear for the 1-100 scale?

Has anyone come across this problem before and if so, can you shed any light on this? Am I doing something wrong (do I need to change scale to 1-100 and progress the sim one day for ratings to update on the csv file?) Am I misunderstandings something here?

Any help is appreciated.

Trent
