Random Historical Players - Amateur Draft and Veterans Created as Free Agents

I started a game in 1946 with Random Historical Players. I played the first year, the draft passed in December, then on January 1 a bunch of new players showed up in the Free Agent pool as free agents wanting minor league deals?

Anyone know why this happened?

Edit: I obviously messed up the attachment - but I think you get the point. I drafted historical rookies in December, then Jan 1 players like 24 year-old Willie Mays, 30 year-old Pedro Guerrero, and 33 year-old Albert Belle showed up as free agents.

The color line barrier got lifted (as you passed into 1947) so you suddenly were able to see all the African Americans that had been hidden. Had the barrier been manually turned "off" in Options in 1946, they'd have been in the draft.
