I've Googled this and seen that it's been a problem for other years of OOTP, and I've tried the solutions that people have offered, but either I failed in implementing them correctly or they just didn't work.

That message pops up when I try to first import my OOTP 22 game
into my newly purchased OOTP 23.

So far I've tried:
- Reinstalling OOTP 23
- Changing the save path
- Deleting the database folder, as one post from years back recommended
- Copying the files from the older OOTP version over to the new one. Perhaps I didn't copy the correct ones? I don't know.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm off this weekend and I can respond promptly.
If you go to the OOTP23 database folder, you should be able to just copy the file named 'injuries_english.txt' into the saved game directory and this should then load properly.

Okay, I just tried that and I'm still getting the same error message. I even uninstalled and reinstalled again, same result. I have it downloaded through Steam, don't know if that makes any difference.

One more thing off the top of my head, try renaming the file to 'injuries.txt' (along with the 'injuries_english.txt') and put that in the imported league's saved folder (whatever you called your league.lg) as well. Does that change anything?

Okay, so that seems to have solved that problem, thank you.

HOWEVER lol

Now I'm getting FIVE new error messages as it tries to finalize the import.

NATION::import_flag_image -
unable to move down into the nation_flags directory

TEMPLATES_ENGINE::load_template_file -
cannot open template file boxscores_page.tpl

load_templates() -
could not load template boxscores_page.tpl

TEXT_ENGINE::my_load_text_file() -
Folder doesn't exist.

Then the program exits out, and I get a popup saying
load_database - Error, could not load default text file.

3D Crash

Get this message when opening OOTP:

"3D features disabled due to command line parameter 'no3d'"

Using PC on Windows 11 with Steam here's the debug error after crashing when starting a game:

2022-05-01 17:33:34 GAME_PAGE_VIEW::draw_3d: Unable to enable OpenGL!

It looks like the game can't correctly write to one of the folders where the save is located (either the old one or the new one.

Can you copy the save from OOTP22 before importing it, then go into OOTP23 and open the saved games directory by going to settings > troubleshooting and clicking the button to open the directory containing saved games.

Then copy the OOTP22 save there. Then go back to the OOTP23 start screen and try again importing the OOTP22 save directly from the OOTP23 saves folder? Does that change anything?

Just to be clear, when you say 'copy the save' are you meaning the LeagueName.lg file?

Can you open said league file in Ootp22? Does it work there? If so, can you save it in Ootp22 and then import it to Ootp23 again? (Make a backup copy, if not yet done) It's just a guess, but maybe there was something with the league file itself.

It's been working in OOTP 22 and I've still been playing it. I've been trying to import from there already.

Double post, but now there's a crash when trying to customize PT team. Pressed customize team because I wanted to put my logos in. Crash after attempting to load logos (I do keep a lot of logos in the folder since I do a lot of franchise stuff). Trace file attached.

Stuck on "Player Cards Loading"

I tried to load PT for the first time during the server problems this morning. Now, when I log in and press the "Play Perfect Team Button", it says "Could not find a team" when I press ok, it then freezes on "Please wait while loading the player cards".

I didn't have any problem with starting my B account and team, so it seems this account is stuck in the server.

I have OS 11.6.2, using steam. Username: tzb12

Same problem here. Something went wrong when I created my PT team earlier today. Thanks for the help!

Saw on another thread that you delete the .pt files of the broken account in your save folder in the troubleshooting panel and try opening again. I did that and it worked. Thanks!

Game crashes every time I try to proceed it to the next day (press either Finish Today, Next Game, or Auto-play until Tomorrow), could you look into it? Attached 2 files just in case.

[Update] The game didn't crash after removing all-star game from both all minor leagues and independent leagues (guessed this was an issue - had an all star game related issue before).

Cannot advance my save after installing the most recent update. Game crashes within 5 seconds after attempting to advance in anyway.

If the crash just started after the update, the first thing to check on is that it was properly installed. So if you go to settings > troubleshooting > and click on the button to force reinstall game data, that might fix things. On Steam you'd do this by right clicking on the game in Steam, then going to properties > local files > verify local files.

If that doesn't fix things, then we'd need to see your save files for the league that's crashing. You can ftp them to us directly or can upload to Dropbox or Google Drive and post the link.

New Crash

My current game is crashing each time I try to move on to the next day. I have tried reinstalling, going back to version 53 and rebooting my mac but nothing changes the result. If I start a new game it is able to move past the current date where the game crashes. I attached the bug/crash report generated by the computer, not sure if that will help or not.
