OMG The Camera Angles in the Release <3

Seriously, they're amazing.

Set the pitch cam to Pitcher-Batter, have the Action Cam be automatic and slow down zooms a bit.

It's fantastic!

Edit: got bamboozled by the fact that I was using an OotP standard ballpark for my spring training, and the day the patch came out, switched to one of Silvam's parks for Opening Day, lol.

"Pitcher-Batter' is a homebrewed camera view (sorry I don't remember who created it) that doesn't come with the default stadium unless you import them. It is a great view though. Is that what you are talking about?

What did you slow down the zooms to? Are you referring to the zoom factor?

LOL, got caught by switching over to release the same game-day my league switched from "Spring Park" to their proper fields, which were from S's awesome work.

From my settings:
Dynamic Zoom: Enabled
Camera Movement Delay: 0.55s
Camera Transition Time: 4.00s
Camera Movement Speed: 22
Zoom Factor: 15

I rarely actively manage my games, but I do like to occasionally override the Bench Coach, so my playing speed is pretty slow:
Animation Speed: Slow
Delay Before AB: 3.0s
Delay before Pitch: 3.25s
Delay Between Action Plays: 4.0s
Delay Between Routine Plays: 2.5s

And I'm simulating small parks, so I increased the player size to 120%, gives it that "you're up close in the stands" feel.

Sound settings:
Enabled, 20, 90, 60, 70, Very Rarely

PbP Settings:
Full Detail, Normal, Normal, Slow, Per Character

Honestly, his views should be part of the default stadiums. I think people would freak out of they saw them. Sure, you can import them to all the stadiums but it's way too many steps that most people won't do . most people don't know because they don't bother with mods and tweaking things like we do.

Where can we get the Pitcher-Batter view? I'd love to try it.

Those camera angles, and all of your settings are great. Thank you! The game is even more enjoyable than it was!

If you download Silvam's stadiums, the view is in there. Although I prefer the view that's behind the pitcher, looking towards home plate. It's just like watching a game on tv.

Is there a mod for this? I can't find anything.

Maybe post a screen shot so we can see what this view is? I'm currently using the default behind the pitcher (CF Close), but I'm open to trying new things.

Your going to have to read up on how to copy these camera views your stadiums..

Thanks. Those do look great, but camera stuff is too complicated for me. Maybe they'll get included out of box like Sweed's did last year.

Are you for real? That's unbelievably flattering! I'll attach a screenshot so people can just go down the list.

One caveat: when increasing/decreasing player size, the ball doesn't change height for the pitcher (yet, the Devs are working on that, I'm sure!) so pitching looks a bit wonky, but it's easy to get used to knowing how responsive the devs are.

My settings:

As an explanation, I play a light managerial style, only interrupting the AI manager when I need to hook a pitcher or steal a base I think the runner can make, or make a sub they're not doing that I think they should, so there are lots of pauses to enable me to step in. I also like a cinematic view of the game, so the camera angles are either close or wide and the action camera is active.

I play with very small teams in very small markets, so I've increased player size to 120% to give the game that up close in the good bleachers on a slightly-too-hot summer day vibe. (until it gets fixed, there's a small bug where the ball doesn't change height to match the pitcher's, setting players back to 100% size will eliminate it, but give you a more MLB-style view of the game)

I use Silvam14's historical parks, so if you're using the default parks, you won't have some of the camera angles available that I use. (Set Pitch cam to CF Close if you don't have an option for the angle I use)

For sound, I use kcstenglesr's small field sound set, available here: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=328946

For PbP, I use the Voices of the Game english.xml file found here: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=334307

How would one go about changing it such that I don't have to continue by manually pressing a key, and instead just watching the game play out? Thanks

There should be a setting for 'pause after each play' or something like that. You can turn it off and just let the action go.

I'm not sure where to find that. I've looked in all the settings in game. I know it exists--I had it enabled in 21.
