That is speculation, and it's wrong. We had a similar load with the public beta and absolutely no issues. So, it's something out of our control, and the new backend company (Heroic Cloud) is looking at the problem as I type this...

Only Cyberpunk was a new AAA game and this is a series that I've invested probably close to a grand into over the last 18 years...

Just glad to know I'm not the only one who feels like this. And I'm not giving a "Well, you just lost a loyal customer!!" Karen speech, I'm still trying to get into PT as we speak. I just want to play a game that I enjoy and I'm frustrated that I can't.

You know in some games when there are major server delays they toss out a freebie to make up for it...you know like everyone gets a free Perfect Pack...

If only they had done pre-orders and had a past history of sales numbers, and a few beta runs, so they could adequately test new code and anticipate server load.

I tried to let the apologist on here know Markus and team aren't victims of somebody or some new server. But it does no good to pile on at this point. It will be ready when it's ready... hopefully before the end of the 22/23 season.

In the meantime, let the people who want to bitch, complain. They have a right to.

Not sure how you'd have a similar load, but if it's not a load issue, then what is it? I'm actually curious because I've dealt with this kind of stuff for years until....

... I ran and managed my own servers. <--- you guys should probably consider having in house servers at some point. It's the only way you have total control of any situations or launches. Secondarily, AWS is the best way to go if you don't want the in house maintenance.

I do want to say to Markus that I do love the new improvements to the single player game. Some major QOL changes I've sought for nearly a decade (Like the Shop-A-Player overhaul is A+)... But it's clear OOTP has put most of its money making marbles into the Perfect Team bag, so we got hyped up for this update after the disappointment of it not being ready with day 1 purchase.



I'm sorry I accused the devs of "pretending" to not be aware, but I still find it hard to believe that this is completely random and unexpected, at the very least the OOTP team was mislead by "Heroic Cloud" on it's successful functionality if they handled all the testing on their end.

I can deal with the delay, but the bigger concern is losing confidence in the product. Once it's working, can I play the game without worrying that it's all going to need to be wiped clean at some point?
Can I buy perfect points and packs and be sure I'm going to get what I'm supposed to get?

The only thing I do enjoy when things like this happen is the amateur hour IT support. It definitely helps pass the time and I'm sure they are very thankful for it.
