Do I still play pt22 if pt23 is released?

Im new to PT and just started playing PT 2022 about 2 weeks ago built a pretty decent team in Iron, have about 200k pp but starting wondering what happens when pt2023 is released? Does pt22 continue and if so for how long or do most people bail and move on to 23? Ive put a lot of addictive time into the last two weeks and now wonder if Im wasting my time and if I should just start buying cards rather than trying to build up points or move to pt23? If continuing with 22 Does the selling market start to thin out to the point where its harder to find good players?

If I move to PT23 does everyone start from the beginning and have to build up their points and rosters? Thanks.

You can keep playing PT22 until May 2023 rolls around.
Most seem to move on to the new version and the market does get thinner as time goes by.
Yes, PT23 is a complete wipe but has a loyalty program so you'll have extra pack(s) as long as you use the same log in name and email for each of your PT22 (and previous versions) teams to register for PT23.
If you haven't yet purchased OOTP23 then you will need to in order to play PT23.

OK, thank you. What about live cards in pt2022, do they still update through May 2023 or have they stopped?

PT22 Live cards do not update anymore, as they're based on the 2021 season.

Since they've moved to a different provider for PT23 there should be the added benefit of being able to log in to PT23 and PT22 at the same time without getting booted out.

so with "live" cards in pt22 is what you see what you get? So if I want to buy a Logan Gilbert card its not necessary to overpay because you expect his value to go up?

Also, Just curious what happens to live cards in ootp23 when a player gets hurt, example John Means out for season?

Means' overall will stay frozen at where it's at after the live update.

You just changed my life! Was already excited since we're close to never seeing the "restart OOTP to reconnect" message.
