3D Animation in OOTP23

Vastly improved. The BEST I have seen yet. I see plays being made that I've never seen in previous versions. Not perfect, but it's as close to perfection as I've seen.

Did they fix it where you don't get weird fly balls near home plate to 3B, 1B and catcher?

Does the RF still run through the fence to get the ball?

I like when a catcher misses the ball it sometimes lands near him instead of always going to the backstop. I like the handshake line as well.
Every version gets a bit better and I really enjoy this sim/game.

Not seen anything too odd in the first case. You still get some of the second, although it's not as bad as previously.

Some odd animation glitches on some OF catches too.

still seeing weird trajectories on foul outs to either side of the base.

This is my first time playing out games in a view versions so I have no basis of comparison for 3D improvements, but it does look very nice. The only quirk I've noticed so far is fly outs in foul territory look like they start out as flyballs to CF before hooking hard into foul territory.

Not a glitch but just once I'd like to see a ball get past a diving outfielder.

I just saw it today. RF dove for the ball and the ball rolled behind him. I was amazed, shocked and angry, because it was my RF and it lost me the game.

Not for me yet....
popups to catch, at back wall too
long fly balls that land just foul between stands and foul line
way less dives and slides for outfielders
back against the wall, jump up to rob HR
foul ball catch by either 1st base man, 3rd base man at dugouts
loved the added bunting which I rarely seen in previous versions
main thing to be is just more realistic action, like shortshop will actually throw to second base for a force instead of running to base himself so much.
I'm sure as soon as I post I remember other cool/new stuff

Here, Here too. I imagine quality of OF might have something to do with that too. I've had it happen to Eloy Jimenez in LF & Andrew Vaughn in RF.
Also infielders dive & miss some too & also I think quality has something to do with that too. It's nearly a whole new game for me as far as action in 3D mode...I've had 2 inside-the park HE vs me

I think camera view changing during play has effect on that...I think

I am almost certain the ball path makes an extreme turn in flight if you're trying to say it's just a camera angle thing.

I did just think of another thing I've noticed happen occasionally, like once a game. The camera will get really choppy all of a sudden until you move on to the next play. Not really sure the exact cause, but if I remember correctly it's only when it cuts away from one of the standard angles.
