Once we have a final version, I was going to shrink it back down to the smaller size.

I've added in a triple shoulder stripe layer into the current template, Deft.

Silvam14, your files opened for me in PSP 21 all nicely organized. In PSP X2 every layer was opened individually which is a pain in the butt but it can be used but nothing can be done about this. This happened in the past with some PSD files in PSP.

I sent Deft a PM earlier. Here's what I sent.
----------------------------------
I also have an issue with opening your original PSD file. I could not open the file with Paint Shop Pro X2 or PSP 21. I have Photoshop CC (2018) and it opened the file. PSP is my personal preference but I use Photoshop to occasionally open PSD files and to save files using Intel Texture Works DDS files for NBA 2K. After I opened the original file I saved it using PS but PS asked me to "maximize compatibility". It explains this will help other apps and other versions to be able to use the file. I was then able to open the file using PSP 21 but I had this message. "This PSD file contains unsupported features". This is normal due to PS using layer attributes that PSP doesn't use. Most of the time this is not an issue. PSP X2 got the same message but opened the file as a flattened image which is useless. Maybe this is the problem with GIMP users and with other applications. Seems these apps don't play well with others.
---------------------------------------
Hopefully a solution can be found that will allow users of GIMP, paint.net, Illustrator and other programs to use the PSD template. Plus a solution that is easy for Deft. I guess not all PSD files are created equal.

All I did was just download the version deft put out there, opened it in photoshop cs4. Saved it and uploaded it. When I opened it in photoshop, it did give me some message and gave me the option to keep the layers, or flatten the image. This file originated from txranger, so I’m not sure what he uses

Here is my stab at just below knee shorts, some calf, then stockings with stirrups and white sanitary socks for use with the ladies of the 1943 AAGPBL (modelled by coach "Benny Doobin" of the South Bend Blue Sox:

if that doesn't work, maybe try:

I apparently failed to attach image. I am new to attach image, but I thought that I had clicked the attach image and pasted the URL.

Anyway, if you click the highlighted link it should show my current pants template for below knees shorts with some calf skin and then some stockings complete with stirrups and white sanitary stockings. I have been playtesting various widths for stirrups and I think that I am now close to what I want. Notice the very bottom of the currently used template is a white stripe. The white stripe allows the very bottom part of the pants template to not go below the top of the shoe so it kind of blends in with white shoes without the stockings/stirrups going below shoe top. Men's pants 1900-1970 would extend the pants proper various lengths down to stocking top or lower, but this length might work for the 1970s White Sox shorts.

Sorry for my fail at attach image. If someone can help me I will try to attach image so one does not have to click highlighted link.
I think my original pants with belt template from which I modified might be from Jorin found in silvam14s pants thread.
Hats and jersey for this 1943 AAGPBL were made by TxRanger.

Awesome. Loving the "no belt" pants. Now if we just had the high stirrups of the 70's.

I hope for v24 we get short pants. Stirrups, leggings, sanitary socks for the win Alex.

to Deft:
if they introduced shoe colors other than white like MLB Classic Black Shoes for historical games I would change that bottom white stripe to the color of the shoes like into a black stripe. This prevents the existing model we have to work with having the stirrups and white sanitary socks dropping below the level of the top of the shoe.

You can edit the universal color of the shoe (ie all players can have black shoes and only black shoes). I think there is another post on this forum that discusses that.

Probably should start a new project thread for historical uniforms using the new templates

Here is the 1980 variation with a name on the back

The lettering looks a little wonky on the front and back. Wonder if the model can be fixed to smooth it out without having to redo the template

Thanks for the idea and I found Flying Canuck's shoe thread where he mentions the player texture Shoes.webp. I found that and edited it with Gimp to resemble the old black shoes of classic baseball, renamed the original Shoes.webp and pasted by black shoes as the new Shoes.webp.

One never knows how these graphic experiments look like unless one plays manual games and manual games are something I like to do.

Scenario:
1. 1955 exhibition at Kansas City Municipal using silvam14's ballpark. This was the first year of the Athletics out of Philadelphia.
2. Facegens by fancyskunk.
3. Custom sounds by kcstengelsr using Sounds 1941-1969.
4. Historic logos, caps, and jerseys by silvam14.
5. Black shoes experiment by kcstengelsr.
6. Two new cam views added to KC Muni.
7. Pants with stockings/stirrups/white sanitary socks for both the home Athletics and the visiting Yankees by kcstengelsr. The Yankees use their classic navy blue stockings while the Athletics use their fancy seven horizonal stripes stockings of that time period.

Experiment:

See how all this looks by playing a manual game on Youtube.
The link to watch on Youtube is:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahF-...el=kcstengelsr

Results:
1. I need to move the outside of the leg stirrups more towards the heels of the feet. This will also have the affect of a bit less white sanitary sock showing at the back of the legs. I already fixed my stockings template with the outside stirrups back a bit, but not until after watching this game.
2. The black shoes seem to work ok.
3. The video improvements with the game play compared to OOTP22 are too many to mention, but I will mention a few things which might need tweaking:
a. When a player walks with his head high and chest out like after hitting a homer and when the pitcher walks off the mound and for the new victory celebration, silvam14's front logos and back numbers are raised up enough that some distortion results. Check Bauer after hitting the ball in the top of the eight inning for one example or the victory celebration for another.
b. The game still needs to review the positioning of the shortstop and the first baseman on some balls hit to the outfield. Check the shortstop after DeMaestri hits the ball in the bottom of the seventh. Check the first baseman after Valo hits the ball in the bottom of the seventh.
c. I have played a couple of manual games with walk off hits. The previous versions of OOTP had a walk off celebration but is this now missing? In both two cases after a game-winning hit with OOTP23 I not only did not see the old walk off celebration but it did not even show the new victory celebration.

Thanks again for the black shoes idea, Deft. I can easily revert back to the default whites whenever I want.
