Nasty Boys v2.0 Rebuilt - 112 Players in Rookie Ball

First year playing decided to give the ole Rojos a try for a challenge. I've had so much fun the last 2 days getting my Active Roster and 40 man roster ready for Opening Day. That's ready to rock and roll and now it's Opening Day.

My question is about minor league roster sizes especially rookie ball. Here are my roster sizes.

AAA - 32
AA - 26
A+ - 26
A - 26
R - 76
R - 36

I made a trade and and somehow got old Matt Carpenter in rookie ball, I cut him already. What is a good rookie size roster 35? Can share your thought process on which players would be good to cut from rookie ball.

I'm all about developing players - not going to be spending much in free agency - I want all home grown players in about 3 years. Haha

I'm not sure what you're asking. The manual used to suggest no limit at all for the lowest minor league level; I think the AI will cut too many players or something.

If you're asking about practical limits for you on the team you run, 30 is a pretty reasonable size so you cn make sure guys get playing time. I always end up with too many guys in the rookie league especially after the draft. It always seems like a battle to keep fewer than 50 guys on that roster.

Think this question is better suited for general discussion than "new to the game". 35 might be too thin. Injuries seem to hit the younger squads especially pitchers harder than the top tier systems. You're going to want at least 20 pitchers in your low tier league due to injuries, fatigue, and pitch counts. 40+ is best. I personally keep all my teams stocked with as many arms as I can get.
