Stolen bases

I'm playing games out, and I'm finding that stealing bases seems a bit easier than normal. I'm playing as the Braves, and Acuna is 13-17 and Albies is 14-14 through the second game of the first series against the Marlins.

I also noticed a very high success rate for both teams when watching games play out (ai managing). small dample size so it might still come out with realistic %s over the course of an entire season or 2

I agree. Not only a high success rate, but also that the AI doesn’t run that much.

How many game have you played to get to "the second game of the first series against the Marlins."?

In any case, I believe, one of the things they worked on was to improve SB success among the elite baserunners. Perhaps it needs tweaking or maybe it's just sample size and will even out?

Something to keep an eye on, I guess.

To your point, I’ve actually refrained from posting a thread until I had at least a season’s worth of data. I’m about sixty games in and it does seem off. My next step is to compare 23’s settings against 22’s.

I'm now playing game 17 of the season. I like to steal bases but have not tweaked any settings related to base stealing.

Just to clarify. I wasn't saying\thinking you tweaked your settings.

What I was trying to say is maybe in fixing SB for elite base stealers the development team went to far and it needs to be toned down with a tweak.

Users have almost always complained it was too hard to get guys to steal, even elite players. Since this is your team and you are stealing a lot perhaps they have to curb the user again? But I think before doing that and listening to complaints they would want a good sized sample. They're normally good about making adjustments if presented with data.

Hopefully users that come into your thread will be more observant with their leagues and report their data too. My season just ended so it will be a bit before I hit spring training but when I do I will be sure to take a look.

The stealing ratings for Mondesi and a couple other top base stealers in the current roster set got a little high when we auto-updated them. I've these back a bit and this should look more realistic next patch.
