Status update - Tuesday April 26

Hey everybody,

we're working very hard to find out what caused data corruption and crashed simulations on the PT servers, which is the reason for the delayed launch.

In order to track down the problems, we will now reset all entry pool leagues and have them created from scratch, so do not be surprised if all the stats etc. are gone the next time you log in (in case you play the public beta build of OOTP 23). The teams should remain in tact, though.

Unfortunately there is no timetable yet for the PT launch, we need to track down and fix the problems first. But we do everything in our power to make it happen as soon as possible.

Thank you for the update. I wonder if you will be giving out some sort of bonus, extra packs, etc., due to the delay? This is one of the main components of the game and to have it delayed this long should be worth something to the consumers considering this mode is the reason so many play anyway and pre-ordered. It also has affected challenge mode since you can't really progress your season since there will be no rewards. At this point the game is virtually unplayable until this issue is resolved.

I'm having all sorts of fun leading the Nationals to a losing season. I think your post may be a tad bit hyperbolic.

I like freebies as much as anyone, but they'd have to give it to everyone since there's no way of knowing who's been most inconvenienced. On those grounds, I'd prefer they didn't, since it would only stand to dilute the game economy.

Admittedly, this is me being obsessively competitive since it would be akin to increasing the number of starter packs, but unless I'M the lucky SOB, I'll probably end up getting salty about the player who begins week one with an extra perfect card because they got lucky on a free pack that everyone received. What can I say... I'm an imperfect being.

Thank you for the update!! I appreciate the fact you'd rather delay and bust your tailfeathers to resolve the issues than put out a sub-par product. Good luck....as a dev I know how frustrating these issues can be!

Game doesn’t even get released on time for the season to start this year and have no timetable for PT to be up and running.

Has to be the worst release since I’ve been buying for about 8 years.

Not a good first launch for the new owners…

Mate they're fake cards in a non-competitive game, unless you're talking tournament play.

What is the timeline for PT loyalty bonuses? Will it be extended to match the delay? Will the 10% discount be extended to match the delay for PT?

It's the 2nd launch for Com2uS, we sold the company in October 2020.

For those still playing on build 43, we just reset some things again, just so you are aware.

So please go ahead now and do lots of changes and submissions and all the other stuff you can think of to do.

Not sure if this has anything to do with what was changed, but my 5th starter has had a grand total of 0 starts in 43 games since the first reset. Rotation mode set to Strict/occasional.

Edit - I'd also add that a game is being played every single day so it isn't due to off days.

I guess I should’ve gone *further* out of my way to indicate that I don’t take myself seriously.

However, I would debate the non-competitive claim… anything can be a competition if you’re wired that way. I once made our future valedictorian cry by defeating her in our third grade spelling bee. Some might say that I peaked that day.
