Make default MLB draft lottery setup?

Can anyone that has done this explain exactly how OOTP does this?

I am not fully up to date on the new cba. What I read was a 6 team lottery but not any details. Are the odds the same for all teams or weighted towards the worst record?

Does this setting only affect setting up a lottery or are there changes to the number of draft rounds? IE going down to the new 20 rounds? Anything else?

Just curious before I hit the button and advance. I did just import my v22 season the day after the WS was over. My first advance in my v23 game will take me to the first day of the off season.

Any other thought?

Figured someone had at least tried this. No replies so made myself the guinea pig

Nothing earth shattering just had no idea what to expect.

18 teams with lessening chances of getting a top 6 pick based team record of course. Lowest teams apprx 16.5% down to team 18 at apprx 2.5%. Sorry doing this from memory but, that is pretty close.

I had manually already set my draft down to 20 rounds. I don't know if this option would have done it on it's own.

It did not change financials IE slot bonuses which is good.

So there we are, nothing ventured nothing gained.

I use this method. Really enjoy it. Had the 18th slotted team win it once. However, I have noticed that the lottery results comes out twice with in three days. I had one set come out and got the #1 pick. I was excited. I dimmed three days later and saw another email listing the entry draft results that was completely different than the first drawing. I summed into the draft and the first lottery set was the order at the draft. The second lottery results just seemed to be a random draft generation and probably a bug.

Have you seen this?

My game is imported from v22 so not sure how a new v23 game handles it. For me? I had to turn it on.

It's down below where you set your draft rounds, dates, reveal etc.

One tab you can design your own lottery. The other tab makes a default MLB lottery. The later is the one I used.

It will be quite awhile before I get to the draft. I play out all of my games, just finished the World Series in v22, and imported to v23.

If this was a "what if" feature for MLB I wouldn't be using it. I try to stick close to whatever MLB is currently doing and am looking forward to seeing the lottery in action.

Yep, thanks. I simmed to the offseason in my "Graphics Test" save and for lottery choices you can just set it to none.

I also came across this. First one of the two also ended up being the draft order when the time came
