World Series rosters in Historical Exhibitions missing starters
Where do the rosters come from if youre playing the World Series replays from the Historical Exhibition mode. I was playing the 1981 World Series with New York Yankees and the roster is missing key players such as Bucky Dent and Larry Milbourne. And the rosters in Historical Exhibition on have 25 man rosters. There are no players in either teams "reserve roster" area.

The Yankees earned an American League East title in 1980, but lost the ALCS to the Royals in a three-game sweep. Dent batted .182. In the strike-shortened season of 1981, the Yankees swept the Oakland Athletics in three ALCS games, but lost the World Series to the Dodgers in six games. Dent did not see any postseason action in ’81 because he tore a ligament in his right hand — his throwing hand — when he broke up a double play in Chicago during the latter part of the season. - SABR bio of Dent

Milbourne should be on the roster though. Who is the SS?

Been some time since I created a historical exhibition, but if I remember right, there's a option to choose whether you want to use start of the season rosters or end of the season rosters. That might explain why Milbourne isn't there.

The World Series option uses the actual World Series rosters. If you want more flexibility, you can choose the two teams, select the series length, etc., and play an "exhibition" series.
And by the way, Milbourne does appear on the World Series roster for the 1981 Yankees. I verified it. |
