Starters throwing a lot of pitches

So I simmed year 1, it was fine.

Year 2 comes along and I see stuff like this?

I even changed the settings and still similar results. Everything to (-5), extreme to relief pitchers. Never had this problem before in older versions so I don't know what to do.

Yep, i play every game out, and so far, every starter is pitching 130 plus pitches per game.

I haven't seen any at 130 yet but starters are indeed consistently throwing over 110 pitches at an unrealistic for modern day clip. I haven't changed the pitcher stamina settings from -5 or anything

In Stats&AI, I set the starting pitcher stamina modifier to 1.100. The default is 1.219, and those excessive pitch counts will happen on default.

Want it noted I have the same issue occurring, no problems in season 1, I'm 4 games in, and the starters' pitch counts are:

Stamina Rating (1-100) - Pitches
82 - 155
70 - 83 (4.1 innings, pulled after allowing 5 runs)
61 - 139
58 - 153

It also appears to be isolated to the player's team to some extent, as my pitchers are throwing significantly more pitches than the opposition, the opposing pitcher threw the following:

Stamina Rating (1-100) - Pitches
59 - 104
51 - 118
49 - 117
78 - 105


As soon as I saw Joey Lucchesi, with 58 stamina, throw 153 pitches and 14 Ks, I knew something was extremely wrong. Weird thing is, I PLAYED that game, and didn't pull him because his stamina didn't get into the red. It got close at the end, but not enough to pull him. Very weird glitch.

Yes. Normal, quickstart, literally the very first file I've started. I started a thread in the bug reporting forum linking to this one so that all information on it can get aggregated to the proper place and addressed by the Dev team.

The main ratings that control this stuff are

Pitcher Stamina (on the left side of the Stats & AI Page). This should be set to "Very Low".

Starting Pitcher Stamina (on the right side of the Stats & AI Page). This should probably be set to somewhere around 1.100 as slugga27 mentioned earlier.

If you feel like starting pitcher's are going too long I would look at those settings.

I am noticing the starting pitcher stamina is 1.230. I am thinking this should be 1.000...but that's just my guess. I don't know for sure.

RP pitcher stamina is 1.000, so I am guessing SP should also be 1.000

Yes, this is likely the problem. Not sure why the autocalc set this as high as it did but we've adjusted this manually now.

What did it get adjusted to? I felt like 1.000 was too low last year.

I doubt we'll ever be able to have a perfect number. But 1.230 is definitely too high. If 1.000 gives poor results in the opposite direction, we can always take another look at that.

I reckon one needs to look at this with a grain of salt given the shortened Spring Training and that pitch count is correlated as to how they fared on that given day against that particular opponent be it in the game or in real life but here are the actual first game pitch counts for those pitchers:

I have read that historical games have had issues related to batting averages, etc. for historical seasons. Will that also be addressed in a coming patch? Thank you.
