TX, it has been quite a while--I think my previous request might have been back in 2019 when you made some sweet Portland Timberjacks jerseys for me, and I use them every time I do a fictional franchise or MLB expansion in Portland. With OOTP23 coming out soon, I have been jonesing to start a new fictional league, and I have a humble request for your graphics skills on 2 teams if you feel inclined to help a fictional player out. If this doesn't interest you, then no worries!

I am starting an "MLB-themed" fictional league with 30 teams (and, no I am definitely not asking for 30 teams! I am not a monster). "MLB-themed" basically means, to me, that teams will be situated in most of the same cities as modern MLB, and with similar color schemes if possible, but with ahistorical nicknames/mascots and fictional players. Luckily for me, you and low have already done an incredible volume of work over the years with high quality logos and unis, so I already have a stockpile of possible teams--in some cases many options for any given city. However, I noticed that the options are a bit thinner for a couple of places I want to stick teams, Minnesota/Minneapolis and Miami.

Because I am going with ahistorical nicknames, that kind of rules out Twins and Millers for a Minnesota franchise. Ditto with the Gophers. You did a really nice Minneapolis Lakers set, I think based off an old knuckler logo, but I am using the Milwaukee Lakers (which is absolutely awesome...one of my favorites of all time in here) so I don't want 2 teams both being the Lakers. I am also using a Chicago Stars franchise, so Minnesota North Stars doesn't work. low made a team called the Minnesota Freeze, but they are a bit too modern for what I'm going for...so, I figured a custom request might be appropriate here. I am hoping for a "Minnesota Loons" set (circular logo preferred, home/road jerseys & caps, no need for alts) that may or may not involve Minnesota Twins colors (navy: #002B5C) (scarlet red: #D31145) (kasota gold: #B9975B) and may or may not have a graphic of either a loon (like the bird) and/or a capital "M" in there. I don't want to box in your creative skills, but I thought having some specifics could be helpful on your end.

As for the Miami club, I was thinking of going with the Florida state bird here as well (common loon is the Minnesota state bird), so that would be the "Miami Mockingbirds," (circular logo preferred, home/road jerseys & caps, no need for alts) and I like the alliteration there. Once again, invoking Miami Marlins colors with some combination of (miami blue: #00A3E0) (caliente red: #EF3340) (slate gray: #41748D) and (midnight black #000000) and a design that could have a mockingbird and/or a capital/colorful "M" in there. Again, these are just ideas--I am 100% confident that if you worked on these, your work would be vastly better than anything I could imagine.

Finally, although this post is already longer than I want it to be--TX, I have to compliment you on your use of the color purple. Those San Jose Prune Pickers look great, and your Raisin Eaters set from way back when is also tops. Somehow you manage to do great with purple, when a lot of the other purple/green designs I see tend to be garish, or don't fit at all into a retro theme. I know that's a very specific compliment, but it's something (one of the many things) that stands out looking at your designs over the years. And, wow, can you believe this thread is at almost 2.5 million views? I bet only 10,000 are due to me!

I don't like it. I love it. Those look so good! Great colors, lettering, and a really nice choice of "loon" as the image. And you throw in the bonus secondary logo, too? It's too much! Thanks TX!

And obviously, I am selfishly requesting these for my league, but I have to imagine some other fictional players really taking a long look about rebranding their Minnesota franchise after seeing this new one.

I was also thinking...isn't it weird that all of the pro teams in Minnesota are the "Minnesota so and so" and not the "Minneapolis so and so"? I don't think any other state with a bunch of pro teams is quite like that.

That is one of the best logo to represent Minnesota, as well as, the BEST Loon logo that I have ever seen!!! You continue to amazes me after all these years since the beginning of this Retro thread on my Birthday of 2012!!!

It's like if the Blue Jays logo was mixed with Charles Bronson's character from an old Death Wish movie--I mean, stand back because it's on a mission. Clicking on TX's Google Drive is one way, but if you can't get in there or don't have a Google account, then you can also go back through this thread--some people find it to be too much work, but I actually enjoy reminiscing over these designs. I probably scroll through nearly this entire thread every other year or so when rebooting leagues or changing computers.

The other problem with the Photobucket is a lot of those old images, from around 2017 and before, have the watermark stuck on there. So what you can do is right click on the watermarked image, select "open image in new tab," and this gets the watermark out of there (works for me on a PC running Chrome browser anyway). Then you can save image as to your computer, and it will be a "WEBP" file on your computer (whatever that is). Then you can re-upload the WEBP file to any number of image conversion websites to change it into a PNG that you can actually use. I have used this site ( https://ezgif.com/webp-to-png ) a number of times to help with this file conversion.

I'm planning an expansion of the original 8 team UBA to 12 teams. Would it be ok to ask you to design Logos and Caps/Jerseys for the following four teams in the same design as your original 8 UBA teams?

No city reference...

Spiders
Atlantics
Quakers
Robins

This would give me a common design elements with all 12 teams.
