How did I get relegated?

I won 129 games last week in gold and am still in gold this week. Does it bounce a team that lost the first round? If so, why? While embarrassing, 129 games won should still be promoted.

It's based on playoff performance. You could go 162-0 in the regular season, then lose your 3 DS games and get another season in gold.

In Diamond, only 1 team gets promoted, the team that wins the playoffs, regardless of regular season record.

Relegation is based on regular season record. Promotion is based on playoff performance.
