Individual Player Strategy: Adjust to Team Strategy vs. Overide Team Strategy

I know it SEEMS obvious what these two functions to in the individual player strategy settings...but I am not so sure it's that clear. After all, I can alter a players strategy here whether or not it's set to adjust to team settings or override them. What exactly are the differences and nuances of these two settings?

Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks

IIRC, the override setting does exactly that. When you set a player's strategy to override, the game uses the player strategy settings and does not take into account the team strategy settings for those specific sliders. When you set a player's strategy to adjust, then the game approximately averages the team and player strategy settings together.

So one example...if your player's hit-and-run setting is set to 6 and you have him on override, then that player will hit-and-run slightly above average no matter what the team default setting is.

Another example...if your player's stealing aggressiveness is set to 1, and on adjust, and your team default is set to 7, then your player will approximately be set to "4."

It has been mentioned by developers that the player ratings are also part of the strategy calculations. So, for example, a player that has high contact/high avoid K will hit-and-run more often than a player with low contact/low avoid K even if they both are set to the same frequency setting. In other words, player ratings help define/modify cutoffs and thresholds for these settings.

This is my understanding, anyway.

EDIT: I should also specify that when I say "6," I mean one click above the default, middle setting. "7" would be two clicks to the right. "1" would be 4 clicks to the left of default, or just one increment to the right of the minimum possible setting.
