Just like the rest of the league did during Spring Training... perhaps he's having problems adjusting to his extra weight/muscle that the team made him put on to strengthen him against breaking down in mid-season.

He wouldn't be the first player to perform worse after bulking up as some times that can reduce flexibility.

Thanks for posting that... he just struck out the last three Jays he faced to get out of the jam.

Edit

BTW - my spanish may be rusty... but what you posted should translate to... if if Pedro... not sure if this is what you wanted...

asi-asi Pedro would translate to so-so Pedro (if I am remembering things right.. haven't used it in quite sometime).

I think that particular quote may be a reference to the movie 'Major League' and it's voodoo loving slugger Pedro Cerrano.

Cerrano: Es very bad to steal Jobu's rum . . . Es VERY bad.
Harris: Si Si Peedro.

You are right Hammer. It was in reference to Major League. And knowing my luck all too well he got out of it while I was posting!

Si means if. If the I has an accent it means yes, without it, it means if.

I can't believe I didn't pick up on that... I've seen that movie almost too often and remember that line... doh.

On the other hand Sox are now up 10-8 in the bottom of the 4th (and they're still batting) in a wild one at Fenway (4 Homers so far.. both starters out by the 4th inning) (Pending a re-load of game cast)

Edit - Damn it Game Cast seems to have crashed, I'll have to rely on reloads of the game updates and ESPN's bottom line... but its now 11-8 Boston.

I am glad I didn't draft him yesterday in our fantasy draft.

Unfortunately I'm at work (and stuck in the DC area so all I get are Oriole or Brave games (yech)).

I shelled out my $14.95 to mlb.com so I can listen to any games on the radio (real player). Its tough to get O's games here in LV, so this way I get to hear most of them. I figure I listen to 250-300 games a year, making the cost about 5-6 cents a game. A hell of a bargain, IMO (although "free" would still be better).

Ditto. Tony Batista just hit a grand slam off Clemens!

Compared to so many other things the MLB Live Game Audio is such a bargain, even if you only listen to a few dozen games a year.
