Quick training question

On the training screen, there's a column called "level" and some players have an X in that column. I can't find anything in the manual about what that means.

They're playing at a level that's inappropriate for their current skill - either they're much too good, or not good enough. Either way, it slows their development a little.

This might be a stupid question but where is the manual? training is confusing and I am guess I need to RTFM to understand it.

Start the game, click on MANUAL. It's along the bottom.
